“Can you even do anything about it?” Ivy asked. “Can you bring Aaron’s mother back to life?”
Amos shook his head.
“No.”
“Then there’s nothing you can do.”
Unless Aaron and Stella’s mother could somehow come back to life, this would always remain the deepest blood feud between Aaron and the Wright family.
Just moments ago, Amos had been telling Evan that Aaron wouldn’t kill Yara.
But now...
He wasn’t quite so sure anymore.
That really was hard to say.
From the way things looked, Aaron seemed determined to wipe out the entire Wright family.
Amos sucked in a breath.
“This feud is insane.”
It was enough to drive anyone crazy.
“So, Sevi Valley?” Ivy asked.
Amos nodded immediately.
“Absolutely. We’re going.”
Ivy was right.
This wasn’t something they could fix.
It wasn’t that Amos didn’t care about his friendship with Evan.
But no matter how loyal he was, loyalty wasn’t going to resolve a blood feud like this.
If they handled it badly, they would only drag themselves into the mess too.
“Then let’s get ready to leave.”
Amos glanced at Ivy.
“You said Remi left?”
Speaking of Remi, her sudden announcement that she was going off to chase her dream had caught both Amos and Ivy completely off guard.
Since when had she suddenly gotten a dream?
Ivy nodded.
“Yeah.”
“Where did she go to chase it?”
Ivy shook her head.
“No idea.”
She genuinely didn’t know.
“Maybe she met someone she likes,” Ivy said with a smile. “She’s all grown up now.”
Amos fell silent.
Remi?
Falling for someone?
With that personality of hers, Amos found it nearly impossible to imagine.
She was such a tomboy that he could barely picture her falling for a man at all.
He’d sooner believe she had fallen for a woman.
Ivy had said the same thing last time, and Amos hadn’t believed her then either.
But now that she was saying it again...
