Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1179

Yara’s quiet sobs came through the phone.

Evan frowned. The sharp edge in his voice softened slightly.

“What happened?”

She was still his sister.

Hearing Yara cry so miserably made something stir in his chest.

And that tiny reaction only made the emptiness Stella had left behind feel even worse.

There had been a time in Harbor City when Stella had cried in front of him too.

Because of Summer.

And what had he done back then?

He hadn’t comforted her.

He had simply left her there and gone back to the Wright estate.

If he had cared about her tears then, maybe things between them never would have reached this point.

The thought made Evan’s chest tighten painfully.

“Stop crying,” he said coldly.

He hadn’t cared about Stella’s tears back then, so now he wouldn’t allow the Wright family to cry either.

“They’re gone,” Yara choked out. “They’re all gone.”

Evan’s heart lurched.

“What do you mean, gone?”

All gone?

Those words sent a terrible feeling straight through him.

Yara sobbed harder.

“Aaron Hogarth is insane. He killed them. Everyone in the Wright family...”

Her voice broke before she could finish.

Evan went completely still.

A loud ringing filled his head, and his mind went blank.

In that instant, all the color seemed to drain from his world.

“He’s insane,” Yara sobbed hysterically. “They’re all gone. Everyone’s gone...”

In that moment, both she and Evan were plunged straight into hell.

Aaron had forced Yara to return to Eirden for one reason.

He wanted her to see what had happened to them with her own eyes.

No wonder Aaron had been so strangely quiet toward Seaborne after Stella’s death.

That silence had always felt wrong.
