Stella fell silent.
At Felix’s question, she shot him a sharp look.
“Don’t you think that’s a ridiculous question?”
How deeply did someone have to be hurt before a question like that could sound so absurd?
Worry about Evan?
That was something Stella was no longer capable of.
Too much had happened between them.
Even without everything that came later, everything that had happened in Harbor City because of Summer had already worn away whatever feelings Stella once had for him.
You only worried about someone when you still loved them deeply.
And now, Stella felt neither love nor hate.
After pulling herself out of that entire mess, she was nothing more than a spectator.
They could fight.
They could go crazy.
None of it had anything to do with her anymore.
Felix gave a bitter smile.
“Then if I were the one facing Aaron today, you wouldn’t worry about me either, would you?”
What a heartless woman.
Once, she and Evan had been so close.
Yet once someone hurt her deeply enough, Stella was the kind of person who would never look back.
That was exactly what had happened with Evan.
He had hurt her so completely that she had erased every last trace of what they once had.
And as for Felix...
What did everything he had done for her in Harbor City amount to?
Apparently, nothing.
Stella looked at him but didn’t answer.
Her silence said enough.
The bitterness in Felix’s smile deepened.
“There’s nothing left in your heart that matters to you anymore.”
His chest tightened as he said it.
Stella replied flatly, “Good. At least you understand.”
Nothing mattered anymore.
If Felix weren’t just as obsessive as the rest of them, Stella wouldn’t have stayed at Sima Mountain for another day.
