Chapter 1241
After that fight with Felix, Evan seemed to finally come to his senses.
He had finally realized that he himself was the root of everything.
His determination to take revenge on Stella was no longer as strong as before.
But Yara, over in Eirden, was a different story.
She had once been the one who defended Stella the most.
But this time, she kept demanding the same thing from Aaron over and over again.
She wanted an explanation.
An accounting for everything Stella had done to the Wright family.
Before, Aaron had tormented Yara because of what happened to his mother.
Now the situation had completely reversed.
“Either let me go, or give me an explanation for what happened to my family!”
Aaron’s gaze turned cold.
“Are you threatening me?”
Yara fell silent.
Threatening him?
No.
Who in Eirden could possibly threaten Aaron Hogarth?
He was always the one threatening other people.
No one threatened him.
“Don’t I deserve an explanation?” Yara asked painfully.
All the defiance in her voice weakened the moment she met the icy look in his eyes.
She drew a deep breath.
“My father, my mother, and my sister all died because of you.
“And it was because your sister said our family killed your mother!
“Who caused all of this? Don’t I deserve to…”
“Enough!”
Aaron cut her off coldly.

“You just want to get out of here. Let me make one thing clear. Keep dreaming.”
“Then Stella should at least have to pay some kind of price, shouldn’t she? So many people in my family died!”
Aaron said nothing.
The air between them locked into a tense silence.
He stared at her coldly.
Yara met his gaze.
“What? Just because she’s your sister, does that mean everyone in the Wright family deserved what happened to them?”
At this point, Yara probably wasn’t even afraid of dying anymore.
So what threat could possibly scare her?
If anything, she wished Aaron would kill her himself.
Then she would finally be free.
With a loud crash, Aaron kicked over the coffee table.
The force of it made Yara flinch as though the kick had landed on her instead.
Even though she no longer feared death, the sheer fury behind that kick still made every muscle in her body
tense.
This man was terrifying.
Sometimes, he really was a madman.
Yara swallowed hard.
Then she fell silent.
Every word she had been about to say died in her throat.
Aaron’s voice was dangerously cold.
“You want me and Stella to end up the way she and Evan did?”
“Yara, you’re really something.”
What did Stella hate most?
Being forced into someone else’s choice.
Being sacrificed.
The reason she had lost all trust in Aaron as her brother was because back then, when his family’s interests conflicted with what she wanted for her own life, he had chosen what benefited the Hogarth family instead.

And Evan had done the same thing over and over again.
Whenever he had to choose between Stella and the Wright family, he had chosen his family and sacrificed her.
And now Yara was forcing Aaron to choose between her and Stella.
If Stella was cast aside again…
She might truly give up on living altogether.
Yara looked at him.
“So you’re choosing to give me up?”
