Chapter 1246
Stella was surprised when she learned that Evan had called back everyone searching for her.
Remi shook her head.
“I wonder what Felix said to him when he went back. I really didn’t expect this.”
Evan was completely unhinged.
Remi had seen exactly what kind of man he was back in Seaborne.
And there was no question how much those awful people in the Wright family meant to him.
She had been convinced Evan would try to kill Stella this time because of what happened to his family.
She had even prepared for it.
Stella said nothing.
She was surprised too.
She hadn’t expected Evan to withdraw everyone at a time like this.
Of course, whether he was still planning something else was another matter.
Remi glanced at her.
“What about you?”
“Me?”
Remi nodded.
“Felix is gone, and Evan’s people have backed off. So what are you planning to…”
“There’s still Aaron Hogarth.”
Remi went quiet.
Right.
There was still Aaron.
Just then, Stella’s phone began vibrating.
She pulled it out and glanced at the number.
It looked familiar.
A second later, she remembered.
It was Yara.
“Why aren’t you answering? Who is it?” Remi asked.

“Yara.”
Her?” Remi frowned. “What does she want with you now?”
Remi had never had much of a good impression of Yara.
Stella had once said Yara was probably the most reasonable person in the Wright family.
But that wasn’t what Remi had seen in Seaborne.
At the end of the day, Yara was still a Wright.
And in plenty of ways, she was just like the rest of them.
“What could she possibly want from you now?”
Whatever it was, Remi doubted it was anything good.
Anyone from the Wright family was bound to bring trouble.
“I don’t know.”
“Answer it,” Remi said.
Whatever Yara wanted, they would know soon enough.
Stella didn’t really want to take the call.
These days, she had no desire to deal with anyone from the Wright family.
But after glancing at Remi, she finally answered.
“Hello.”
Heavy breathing came through the phone.
Stella had no idea how Yara had gotten her current number.
But then again, Yara was a Wright.
Back in Harbor City, she might have seemed like the gentlest and least threatening member of the family.
But she had the same depth and calculating nature as the rest of them.
Stella’s voice turned cold.
“Are you going to say something?”
Yara finally spoke.
“You hate being forced into someone else’s choice, don’t you?”
“And you hate being abandoned.”
Stella’s brows drew together.

Chapter 12::5
A cold glint flashed through her eyes at the hostility in Yara’s voice.
What are you trying to say?”
Yara gave a bitter laugh.
“But what can you do about it?”
“You deserve to spend your whole life being the one people have to choose between.”
“And in the end, you deserve to be the one they abandon.”
Stella fell silent.
There was something vicious in Yara’s voice now.
It was the ugliest tone Stella had ever heard from her.
Stella’s expression turned colder.
“You’re trying to tell me Aaron will choose you. Is that it?”
Yara was quiet for a moment.
Then she said,
“Why don’t you guess whether he’ll kill you?”
“Because of you?”
Yara said nothing.
