Chapter 1298
Father went home?”
“Yes.”
Aaron fell silent.
Judging from the seriousness in David’s voice, there was no need to guess.
Michael was angry.
Of course he was.
Michael would never tolerate someone like Yara having a place in Aaron’s life.
And yet now…
“I understand.”
Aaron ended the call, took another hard drag from his cigarette, then got out of the car and headed back toward Stella.
Jane spotted him first and lightly tugged on Stella’s arm.
Only then did Stella turn around and see him.
Their eyes met across the distance, and the air between them instantly turned cold.
Aaron stopped in front of her.
“I accept your terms.”
Stella’s brows lifted.
Yara’s influence over him had really grown this strong?
Stella knew perfectly well how outrageous her demand was.
She hadn’t actually expected Aaron to agree.
After all, women had never mattered that much in his world.
And yet now he was saying yes.
For Yara.
“Seriously?”
“I’ll have Gray handle the transfer paperwork,” Aaron said coldly. “But before that, you know what you need to guarantee.”
“I know.”
Evan’s safety.
More specifically, his safety from Michael.
And since Evan wasn’t even in Michael’s hands right now, Stella didn’t particularly care.

Aaron gritted his teeth.
Good.”
With that, he turned to leave.
Jane called after him.
“Aaron. Don’t forget my terms.
His steps paused.
The aura around him turned even colder.
But he didn’t respond.
After a brief pause, he continued walking away.
Once he was gone, Remi looked from Jane to Stella.
“You two are really cornering him from both sides. Aren’t you worried he’ll snap and kill you?”
Jane was pressuring him to send Yara away if he wanted the marriage alliance to go through.
And Stella was demanding a fortune in mines from him.
It really was a two-front attack.
Stella opened her mouth.
“If that happened, then I…”
“You’d be dead,” Remi cut in.
Jane looked at her as if she were being ridiculous.
“Are you stupid? She’s not just Aaron’s sister. She’s Michael Hogarth’s daughter.”
Aaron had already pushed Michael far enough this time.
Kill Stella too?
At this point, whether Aaron could even keep Yara alive was still questionable.
Jane turned to Stella.
“Are you sure Evan won’t die if he’s in your father’s hands?”
After everything Evan had done to Stella back in Harbor City, Michael would undoubtedly want him dead.
And yet Stella was using Evan’s life to squeeze this much out of Aaron.
Feelings really were a terrible thing.
They had actually brought Aaron to this point.
Stella replied calmly,
“He isn’t in my father’s hands.”
