Chapter 1301
Yra couldn’t believe Stella had become so indifferent to whether Evan lived or died.
She didn’t want to believe it, but she had no choice but to accept the truth.
She didn’t even know when Stella hung up.
As Yara listened to the dial tone, all the strength drained from her body.
Ignoring the pain, she forced herself downstairs. She had to find Aaron.
Stella was so cold.
Her attitude was unbearably cold.
By now, Yara finally understood that when it came to Evan, going to Stella was completely pointless.
That woman had no heart.
Even after learning that she’d taken revenge on the wrong family, Stella didn’t feel the slightest bit guilty toward the Wrights.
If she did, she never would’ve been so indifferent to Evan’s fate.
But as soon as Yara tried to leave, one of the staff members stopped her.
“Ms. Wright, Mr. Hogarth said you’re not allowed to go out.”
“I need to see him!”
“Mr. Hogarth said he’ll come to see you.”
“But I can’t reach him!”
“He’ll contact you when he has time.”
Yara fell silent.
He would come to see her.
He would contact her when he had time.
Those words couldn’t have sounded more insulting to her right now.
It was exactly how an owner treated a caged bird.
Everything revolved around him.
He would come when he wanted. He would call when he had time.
A sharp pain tore through Yara’s chest.
“Then contact him for me!”
“I’m sorry.”
They couldn’t do that.
Yara was already terrified. Now that the staff refused to let her leave, her panic intensified.

She hadn’t been able to reach Evan since last night.
Now his phone had been turned off altogether.
Aaron had promised to handle this, but now he wasn’t even answering her calls.
What was he doing?
Had he seen her brother yet?
He hadn’t told her anything!

Meanwhile, Stella was at Hogarth Corporation.
Her lessons were being held at the company today, since some of the material had to be studied alongside actual company files.
Yara’s call hadn’t affected her in the slightest.
Sure enough, once a person stopped caring, nothing could threaten them anymore.
That was exactly how Stella felt now.
No person and no event seemed capable of affecting her.
When Aaron had treated her that way before, she’d still tormented herself by wondering how family could be so
cruel.
But now, she felt herself becoming more and more like a true Hogarth.
She was practically identical to the Aaron of the past.
At three that afternoon, her phone vibrated.
This time, the call came from the landline at Hogarth Estate.
Stella answered.
“Hello?”
“Ms. Rowan, you need to come back.”
Recognizing Gray’s voice, Stella raised an eyebrow.
“What happened?”
“Your father is going to beat Mr. Hogarth to death!”
Stella’s expression changed.
“What?”
“He’s punishing Mr. Hogarth under the family rules.”
Stella fell silent.
The family rules?
