Chapter 1307

In the end, Felix still couldn’t bring himself to say what he’d wanted to.

Stella stared at him in silence.

“The biggest regret of my life is listening to everything your brother said back then,” Felix said. “I trusted him completely.”

He really had trusted Aaron.

But in the end, that trust had cost him everything.

Stella listened quietly. For once, she didn’t argue.

“I’m sorry,” Felix said.

Those two words seemed insignificant compared to all the pain he had caused her.

After all, Stella had paid a terrible price to break free from everything back then.

Aaron had been completely out of control.

“Can we just eat?” Stella asked.

“I’m sorry. I…”

Felix knew Stella didn’t want to hear any of this, yet he’d still brought it up.

But the moment her expression turned cold, he quickly stopped himself.

During their time in the town near Mount Sima, this was what she’d hated hearing most.

Her phone buzzed with a new message.

It came from an unfamiliar number.

‘Is my brother still alive? Please, just tell me!‘

One glance was enough to know it was from Yara.

Stella had blocked Yara’s number that morning.

She must’ve borrowed the phone of one of the staff members at the estate.

Stella had no intention of replying. She simply turned her phone facedown.

“Your brother?” Felix asked.

“It’s a message from Yara.”

“Just block her.”

Felix had no patience for Yara either, especially after seeing the way Aaron had been acting because of her.

“This isn’t even her number,” Stella said.

What good would blocking it do?

Yara would only keep using different numbers.

“Then ignore her.”

Felix, like Michael, believed Stella had every right to ignore anyone she didn’t want to deal with.

“I am.”

Wasn’t that exactly what she was doing?

For the rest of the meal, they didn’t mention Yara or Evan again.
