Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

Ever since Summer married into the Wright family, Dora had treated her the best. She had favored her more than anyone.

But now…

Her mother had been right.

The mess in the Eirden had not even fully played out yet, and Dora was already hinting that she needed to stop setting her sights on Evan?

Seeing Summer sit there stiff-faced and silent, Dora said, “Get some rest. And think carefully about what your life is going to look like from here on out. The Wright family won’t mistreat you.”

But as for anything between her and Evan, that would depend on how her mother handled the crisis in the Eirden.

Summer felt like she could barely breathe.

Dora dropped those words and turned to leave. On her way out, she called to Fiona, “Come on.”

“I… I’ll stay and keep Summer company…”

Before Fiona could finish, Dora shot her a cold look.

Fiona swallowed the rest of her words. “Fine. Let’s go.’

Then she turned to Summer. “Get some rest, then. I’ll come see you in the morning.”

With that, Fiona hurried after Dora.

The second Summer was left alone, she exploded. She swept everything off the cabinet beside her bed and sent it crashing to the floor.

The whole room filled with the sound of things shattering.

Then she let out a furious scream.

“Ahhh!”

People really show their true colors.

Her mother’s side had only run into some bad news, and Dora was already treating her like this?

And suddenly, Stella’s words came back to her.

That line about her becoming someone who lived off others, and then seeing what her place in the Wright family would really be.

At first, Summer had scoffed.

But what had Dora’s attitude just now meant?

Her mother had not even fallen yet.

She liad not even lost her position as vice president of Wright Group.

And Dora was already showing that ugly look on her face?

Then if her mother really did fall…

A vicious glint flashed through Summer’s eyes.

Treat her the way they treated Stella?

Dream on.

Her mother would not go down that easily.

As long as she was still the Summer family’s princess, no one was going to touch her.

After leaving the room, Dora headed straight for Evan’s ward.

On the way, Fiona asked in confusion, “Mom, what did you mean by all that just now? You know Summer’s in a bad mental state right now. What if she spirals again and hurts herself?”

Dora had not said it outright.

But both Summer and Fiona had heard the shift.

Dora’s face stayed dark. “I got word that Ruby’s situation in the Eirden is bad. Very bad.”

“What do you mean?” Fiona asked.

Dora said, “Her goods can’t be exported to the Eirden anymore. If the shipments can’t get in, she’s going to be facing enormous penalties.”

Fiona froze.

“Enormous penalties?”

Then she frowned. “So what did you mean by what you said to Summer? You think she’ll take money from the Wright family to help her mom?”

“Money isn’t the main issue.”

“Then what is?”

Dora fell silent.

What was the real issue?

Had the answer not been obvious enough these past six months?

“Enough. Stop asking.”

Just thinking about it annoyed her.

What kind of luck did this family have?
