Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 171

Chapter 171

These past few days, Stella had pushed things so far that everything had spiraled out of control.

Felix lifted his gaze slightly,

The way he looked at Evan turned even colder.

Evan’s voice rose sharply. “This is between me and my wife. What does it have to do with you? Who gave you the right to fuel her divorce?”

He was shouting now.

Stella had been pushing for a divorce nonstop.

And with Felix in the picture, things had only gotten messier.

At this point, whatever brotherhood remained between them was clearly gone.

Felix let out a quiet, mocking breath. “Are you trying to make her drop the idea of divorce… or turn her into something the Wright family can control?”

Evan snapped, “What are you talking about? Don’t twist my words.”

Control her?

No. He had never thought of Stella that way.

Felix gave a low, humorless laugh. “From the moment you woke up yesterday and Patrick didn’t make a single move to get her out, it already said everything. Your relationship was never equal to begin with.”

If there had been even a shred of equality-

Neither Evan nor the Wright family would have tried to pressure her like that.

“Whether it’s equal or not is between me and her,” Evan shot back. “What does that have to do with you? Where is she?”

He had no patience left for this conversation.

Stella disappearing again had already set him off.

And every time she disappeared, Felix was somehow involved.

That alone was enough to push him over the edge.

Seeing Evan completely lose his temper, Felix stopped engaging.

He turned and walked away, tossing out a calm instruction to the housekeeper, “Show him out.”

“Show me out?” Evan barked. “If I don’t get an answer today, I’m not leaving!”

He was on the verge of losing it.

Felix did not even bother responding.

As Felix headed for the door, Evan stormed after him.

Right then, Felix’s phone rang.

He glanced at the screen, then at Evan trailing behind him, and answered, “Hello.”

“Are you on your way out?”

Stella’s voice came through the line, soft and warm.

The speaker volume was not low.

Every word reached Evan’s ears clearly.

His steps stopped instantly.

It felt like his legs had suddenly been filled with lead.

So this was how she sounded when she spoke to Felix?

Gentle.

Soft.

And Felix-

The same man who had just been cold and distant with him-

Now had a trace of warmth in his expression as he spoke into the phone.

“Yeah,” he said quietly. “I’m heading out now.”

“Do you have anything you really like? Or anything you don’t eat?”

If she was inviting him to lunch, she wanted to do it properly.

Felix replied, “No strong preferences. Just go with what you like.”

“Okay. Then come over soon.”

Her voice was soft.

His tone was calm.

Evan’s anger detonated completely.

He strode forward and tried to grab the phone, but Felix turned slightly and avoided him.

Evan shouted into the air, “Stella, you better get back to Mount Lara right now!”

He had completely lost control.

He did not care anymore whether he had been in the wrong yesterday.

At the time, he had not even thought there was anything wrong with what he did.

But now

Stella knew.

Felix saw through him.

And everything between him and Stella felt like it was collapsing, piece by piece.

Right now, he did not care about anything else.

He just wanted to see her.

Immediately.

“Give me the phone!”
