Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 184

Chapter 184

Evan shoved Stella straight into the car.

The whole time, she clawed at him, hit him, and even slapped him several more times.

She had scratched his neck hard enough to leave thin lines of blood.

“Let me out.”

The moment she realized the door wouldn’t open, Stella turned and glared at him.

What a shameless bastard.

Evan grabbed a fistful of hair at the back of her head and yanked, forcing her to face him.

Stella struggled. “Let go.”

With his other hand, he touched the side of his neck, then brought his fingers up in front of his eyes.

There was blood on them.

“Stella,” he said darkly, “weren’t you the one who used to love me so much?”

The instant she heard the word love, she fought even harder. “Let go.

“When you fed me that bowl of porridge, what were you thinking?”

Stella said nothing.

“Tell me,” he pressed. “What were you thinking? That if I died, no one would stand in the way of you and Felix anymore? Is that it?”

The moment he brought up Felix, Stella slapped him again.

But this time Evan caught her wrist immediately, his grip so hard it felt like he might crush the bones in her

hand.

He kept dragging Felix into this, and Stella’s breathing turned sharp with fury.

“What was I thinking?” she shot back. “Your grandmother poisoned it. She poisoned it for me. So what if 1 fed it to her grandson instead?”

Evan went silent.

“What, was I supposed to drink it myself? Was I supposed to make her vicious little plan work and help your whole family live happily ever after? Keep dreaming.

“Either divorce me now, or from this moment on, whatever your Wright family does to me, I’ll give it right

back.

“And in the end, we’ll see who suffers more.”

He was blaming her for feeding him poisoned porridge?

Why didn’t he ask who put the poison in it in the first place?

So what if he drank it? His family put the poison there. He should’ve been the one to drink it. If anyone got poisoned, it should’ve been him.

Evan listened to her rapid fire words and felt a pounding start in his skull.

Stella kept going.

“And you still wanted me to pay the price? Please. Now the truth’s out. Your grandmother poisoned it.

“So what now? Are you going to lock your grandmother up and let her suffer a little? Let her learn a lesson and beg you to let her out?”

That last line, Stella practically shouted.

Evan’s breathing grew ragged. “That’s enough.”

“Enough? Your grandmother poisoned me, and now you think that’s enough? I don’t. Not even close.”

Enough?

How was that anywhere near enough?

“If you don’t punish your grandmother properly, who knows what she’ll poison you with tomorrow?

“You really think you can keep living like that?”

Evan: “”

“She’s got plenty of tricks. Are you willing to spend every day of your life wondering whether the next thing she gives you will kill you?”

Evan: “…”
