Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 197

Chapter 197

Men, whether they’re good or not… a woman always knows. There’s always a scale in her heart.

Not long after Evan went upstairs, he came back down.

Dressed in a sharp suit, everything in place, he was clearly heading out.

There was a coat draped over his arm. When he saw Stella sitting on the couch, he strode over, grabbed her, and wrapped the coat around her shoulders.

“What are you doing?” she snapped.

It was one thing for him to go out. Why was he dragging her along too?

Evan was being driven to the edge by her.

At this point, if she left his sight for even a moment, no matter how many people he stationed around her, she would always find a way to disappear.

So now, wherever he went, she went.

Stella struggled, but he dragged her straight toward the door.

“You’re insane. Where are you taking me?”

At the entryway, he stopped. “Change your shoes.”

“I’m not changing.”

She refused without hesitation.

She had no intention of going anywhere with him. In fact, she had been waiting for him to leave so she could

head back to Mount Pansworth.

Every extra minute with him made her feel suffocated.

Evan looked at her. “Want me to do it for you?”

Stella went silent.

This man was completely unhinged.

His tone left no room for argument.

“Where are we going?” she finally asked.

If he insisted on dragging her out, she at least deserved to know where.

“The hospital.”

Stella froze.

The hospital?

Because of Summer again?

And he wanted to bring her alotig?

“I’m not going,”

Why would she go anywhere related to Summer? To piss her off? To “trigger” her so-called depression?

No. Summer wasn’t depressed at all. It was all an act.

If she showed up, Summer would just put on another performance. Then somehow Stella would end up being blamed again.

She had seen that kind of hypocrisy in the Wright family more times than she could count.

It made her sick.

“Not optional,” Evan said coldly.

Before she could react, he bent down and started putting her shoes on himself.

Stella kicked him straight in the chest.

He let out a muffled grunt.

The servants nearby stiffened and immediately turned away, pretending not to see anything.

Evan stood up slowly, jaw tight. “You really are something.”

“What, I’m wrong?” she shot back. “You’re the one so worried about Summer, and now you want to drag me along too? Evan, you disgust me.”

“Disgust you?”

“Yes. Completely.”

The entire Wright family was trying to use Summer and that child as leverage, some twisted sense of ” responsibility,” to force them apart.

And he knew it.

He knew exactly what they were doing.

Yet he still kept showing up for her.

And now he wanted Stella to come along and play along too?

If that wasn’t disgusting, what was?

“Even if I disgust you,” Evan said, voice low, “you’re still coming.”

Disgust?

She thought he cared about that?

He was already being driven insane by her.

He wanted nothing more than to tie her to him and take her everywhere he went.
