Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 215

Chapter 215

Just before dinner, Stella had asked, ‘Is it poisoned?’ Evan took that to mean she was on guard against everyone in the Wright family now.

What he didn’t realize was that he was wrong.

The moment Stella fed him that bowl of poisoned porridge, she had already sent the entire Wright family a warning.

Old Mrs. Wright had been ready to risk everything to force her out of the family.

And Stella had nearly cost her grandson his life.

No matter how much the old woman hated her, she wouldn’t dare poison her food again.

Stella said flatly, “It’s not about poison. I just don’t want it.”

Marianne looked caught in the middle. “Sir said I have to watch you drink it.”

Stella: “”

He really was insane.

Didn’t he get tired, taking care of a woman who kept fighting him every step of the way?

In the end, seeing how troubled Marianne looked, Stella picked up the juice and drank it.

Just then, the sound of a car engine came from outside,

Evan was leaving.

Stella set the glass down and walked to the window. She looked out just in time to see his Maybach pulling

away.

Her phone vibrated in her hand.

She glanced down.

It was a text from Evan.

‘Be good. Don’t run.’

Stella: “”

So he was gone.

A faint smile tugged at her lips.

Marianne looked at her uneasily. “Ma’am…”

“Out,” Stella said coldly.

Marianne had wanted to say something, probably to tell her not to keep fighting with Evan.

But one look at Stella’s face, and she didn’t dare.

She only nodded. “Call if you need anything.”

The maid had already finished cleaning up, so she left with Marianne

The door opened, then shut again.

And once Stella was alone, all she could think about was how hurried Evan had looked when he left.

Had something major happened at Wright Group?

Then again, there was also what Dora had just said on the phone…

Stella was about to call Gray and ask him to find out who Ruby had attached herself to in Eirden.

With something this big, who could she possibly have found to smooth things over so quickly?

She had just started to dial Gray’s number when another call came in first.

Unknown number.

Her finger slipped, and she answered it by accident.

Almost instantly, Summer’s hysterical voice exploded through the line.

“Stella, you vicious woman! Where did you take my child?

“Have you lost your mind? You can’t have children of your own, so now you’re stealing mine? Where is she? Where did you take her?”

Summer was shrieking out of control.

It was the rage of a mother who had snapped.

Before Stella could say a word, Summer kept going.

“Give her back to me!

“I know you hate me. Take it out on me if you want, but don’t touch my child. I’m begging you.

It sounded like pleading.

But the tone underneath was still harsh. Still aggressive.

They were too used to acting superior.

Even now, over her child, she still couldn’t lower her head.
