Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 214

Chapter 214

Evan really was losing it.

Stella was driving him there.

But given her condition, he couldn’t pusher too far right now.

He turned and sat on the edge of the bed, then pulled her into his arms again.

Picking up the glass of juice from the nightstand, he brought it to her lips. “Drink.”

Smack.

The glass was knocked out of his hand, shattering on the floor.

Evan: “…”

“Let me go!”

“I just showered. Scrubbed myself raw. I’m not dirty. I don’t smell.”

His tone was casual, almost shameless.

It only made Stella more irritated. She shot him a glare.

Evan caught her chin. “Want me to feed you another way?”

The way he said “another way” was loaded.

Stella knew exactly what he meant.

She hated the bitterness of herbal medicine. After they lost their first child, she hadn’t been able to get pregnant again for a long time.

Dora had doctors prescribe her all kinds of bitter remedies.

Eventually, Stella got fed up and refused to drink them.

Every time, Evan would step in, trying to keep the peace between her and Dora, coaxing her to take it.

And when she really refused… he had his own ways of making her comply.

Stella glared at him. “Don’t you have work to do?”

If nothing unexpected had happened, his company should be in serious trouble right now.

And yet he was still here, wasting time with her.

“I do,” Evan said. “But you matter more.”

As he spoke, he rested his chin lightly on her shoulder.

For a brief moment, there was real exhaustion in his voice.

Right now, he looked like a man worn down from work, seeking comfort from his wife.

That kind of comfort…

She used to give it to him,

But now-

“If we get divorced, a lot of your problems would go away.”

Evan froze.

It took him a second to process her words.

Then he lifted his head from her shoulder and looked at her. “What do you mean?”

What did she mean, things would get easier after a divorce?

Was she saying… his company’s problems had something to do with her?

Stella didn’t answer. –

She just looked at him quietly.

And somehow, that silence felt deafening.

He grabbed her shoulders. “What’s going on?”

“Divorce,” she said flatly. “It’s that simple.”

No matter what he asked, no matter what he wanted to talk about, she only had one answer.

Divorce.

Evan’s voice dropped, cold and dangerous. “Felix, right?”

Stella: “”

“You want a divorce, so you had him interfere with my company’s projects? Hitting me from both sides?”

His tone was icy.

“Don’t drag Felix into everything.”

The moment she said it, Evan shoved her back onto the bed.

Stella: “”

This man really was insane.
