Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 256

Chapter 256

When Patrick saw that Evan still was not saying anything, he continued.

“And honestly, if Madam Summer really does go to the police over this, that may not be such a bad thing.”

He paused, then added, “Your wife has gone too far these past few months. She’s probably started to forget that everything she’s been able to get away with…”

He stopped there, cutting himself off.

He did not finish the sentence.

But the meaning was clear enough.

Everything Stella had been able to pull these past months had only been possible because Evan had allowed

She had dared to make such a mess, and had been able to keep doing it, because Evan had been standing behind her the whole time.

If Evan had not been protecting her, she probably never would have dared to act this way at all.

In his own indirect way, Patrick was reminding Evan of something.

Without Evan, Stella was nothing in Harbor City.

Evan opened his eyes. “What about Felix?”

The moment he said Felix’s name, his voice turned harsh.

Felix had been far too close to Stella lately, and that was something Evan could not understand no matter how much he thought about it.

On top of that, Felix was in talks to marry Evan’s sister, Fiona.

The elders in the Hernandez family had not officially agreed to anything yet.

But at a time like this, the fact that he was staying so close to Stellà was inappropriate no matter how anyone tried to justify it.

At the mention of Felix, Patrick’s expression stiffened too.

“As for why Mr. Hernandez has been so close to your wife, I can’t say.’

Evan looked at him coldly. “Isn’t it because he likes her?”
