Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 299

Chapter 299

There was no hiding the displeasure in Bella’s voice when she said it.

She… had once liked Evan too.

Back when she found out he was going to marry Stella, she had been miserable for a long time. She could barely eat.

And now, seeing Stella treat Evan like this, she wanted nothing more than to walk over and slap her across

the face.

But Felix was standing right beside her, and that kept her in check.

Bella scoffed. “Your brother too. How did he ever fall for a woman like that?”

By the time Evan arrived, he saw Felix leading Stella by the hand to the very front row.

The two of them sat down side by side in the best seats in the room.

The instant Evan saw that, his blood pressure spiked.

Dora saw them too, and clenched her teeth. “You’re not even divorced from her yet, and she’s already hanging all over Felix?”

Felix.

She had to be doing it on purpose.

She knew perfectly well that Fiona and Felix’s families were discussing a marriage alliance, and she still pulled something like this?

Had the Wright family been too kind to her all these years?

Evan’s hands clenched into fists as he started forward, but Dora grabbed his arm at once.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

Evan shot her a look, rage burning in his eyes.

He said nothing.

But Dora already knew exactly what he meant to do.

“There’s a blue diamond being auctioned tonight. Half the city’s elite are here. Don’t make a scene.”

As much as she wanted to tear Stella apart herself, she was not about to let the Wright family become a joke again in public.

They had already lost more than enough face lately.

Meanwhile, Gray got a call from Aaron.

He answered at once. “Don’t worry, sir. Everything is already arranged for the auction. Miss Rowan and Mr. Hernandez will leave right after bidding on the blue diamond. After that, the rest of our people will continue bidding.”

The Wright family would not be getting a single thing tonight.

At this point, not even the smallest matter would be allowed to go their way.

Aaron asked, “She said she’s moving back into the Wright family estate. Have you made the arrangements?”

“Everything is in place. Even after she moves into the estate, our own people will be the ones taking care of her.”

“Good.”

Right now, Aaron was exactly the kind of brother who only cared about one thing.

As long as his sister was satisfied, nothing else mattered.

Whatever she wanted to do, he would support it, as long as it helped her vent the hatred inside her.

“Felix went with her?”

“Yes.”

“All right. Got it.”

After a few brief questions, Aaron hung up.

Sending Gray to Harbor City had clearly been the right call.

He was careful. Thorough. He had thought of everything.

Soon, the auction was about to begin.

Evan’s seat happened to be right next to Felix’s. Dora sat on Evan’s other side.

Fiona sat beside Dora.

Several pairs of eyes kept drifting toward Stella, each look sharp as a blade, as if they wanted to carve her apart on the spot.

But Stella ignored them completely.

The first major item of the night was brought out.

A ten-carat blue diamond.

It was not especially large, but it was stunning.

For the first time, Stella understood why Aaron had wanted to use something like this to spoil his girlfriend.

If she were a man, and rich, she would have done the same.

It was gorgeous.

She could not help murmuring, “It’s beautiful.”

In all the years she had been married to Evan, this was the most beautiful piece of jewelry she had ever seen.

Felix turned to look at her. “You like it?”
