Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 301

Chapter 301

Stella didn’t even spare her a glance. She only spoke lightly, as if it meant nothing.

“Three hundred million.”

A sharp breath rippled through the room.

All eyes turned to Evan Wright, the man everyone in Harbor City respected. Then to Felix. Then back to Stella.

The atmosphere tightened instantly, like a wire pulled to its limit.

No one dared breathe.

Evan clenched his teeth. “Three hundred fifty million.”

“Four hundred million.”

Stella didn’t even blink.

That calm, unbothered look only made Evan angrier. Four hundred million… Did she think money grew on trees? Or was someone backing her?

At the thought, his gaze flicked to Felix, who had already sat back down. Ever since Felix spoke earlier, no one else dared compete for the blue diamond. Only Evan was still pushing.

But his persistence was meaningless.

Dora’s attempt to put a show today came at a cost. In her eyes, even Summer’s worth had a number

attached to it.

And her limit was two hundred million.

Just as Evan was about to raise the bid again, Dora grabbed his arm. “Enough!”

She had already seen it. Stella was determined to win.

Forget the blue diamond. There were plenty of other items tonight. The auction was high-end. Good pieces would keep coming.

The auctioneer spoke quickly, almost nervously.

“Four hundred million, going once. Going twice. Going three times!”

The hammer came down fast. This price had already exceeded expectations, and the tension between the two power players was palpable. If it dragged on any longer, it felt like the place might actually get torn

apart.

At four hundred million, the blue diamond was Stella’s.

Felix glanced at her. “Tired?”

Stella nodded. She wasn’t in good health to begin with. She had only come to make sure nothing went wrong with the gift her brother had prepared for his girlfriend.

Now that it was secured, she had no reason to stay.

Felix stood. “Let’s go.

He reached out and took her hand.

Stella instinctively tried to pull away, but every eye in the room was on them. She hesitated, glanced at Felix, then let him lead her out.

The moment they left, the atmosphere in the auction hall visibly relaxed. And Evan followed right after them.

Just as Stella and Felix were about to step into the elevator, a voice ground out from behind them.

“Stella.”

Evan’s tone was vicious, like he wanted to tear her apart.

Stella turned and looked at him.

By then, Felix had already let go of her hand.

Evan strode forward, grabbed her wrist, and tried to pull her away. “Come with me.

The second he touched her, a wave of disgust rose in Stella’s chest.

As he turned, dragging her with him-

Her heel slammed hard into his ankle.

A muffled groan tore from his throat. The force of the kick made him instantly loosen his grip.

Stella calmly adjusted her sleeve, her expression cool. She cast him a contemptuous glance as he bent slightly from the pain, then turned and walked straight into the elevator with Felix.

Just as the doors were about to close, Evan shoved an arm in to stop them-

But in the next second, a brutal kick landed square in his stomach.

“Ugh-”

The grunt came out sharper this time.
