Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 304

Chapter 304

Back at the auction-

Dora walked out looking absolutely drained, her face pale and tight. Fiona looked no better, like she had been chewing on grass for a month straight.

Mrs. Quinn hurried after her. “Dora, you came today to buy something for Summer, didn’t you? What’s going on with your daughter-in-law? She’s been going against you the whole time!”

Mrs. Quinn was usually the most openly competitive with Dora.

Her husband was a real estate tycoon, and anytime Dora showed off a new piece of jewelry, she always tried

to outshine her.

So today, watching Stella stir up trouble? This was exactly the kind of drama she lived for.

After Evan and Felix left, Mrs. Quinn had been one of the most aggressive bidders, going head-to-head with

Dora on everything.

Now she wasn’t even pretending to be polite anymore.

Dora’s face was already dark. Hearing that, it turned even worse. She shot Mrs. Quinn a look but didn’t want to argue in front of so many people.

She had come today to buy something for Summer.

And to restore some of the Wright family’s reputation after everything that had happened recently.

No matter what kind of mess there was at home, their status was still there. Who would dare laugh at them openly?

And yet Stella had ruined everything.

The blue diamond had slipped out of her hands right from the start.

After that, nothing went right.

Dora let out a cool, dismissive reply. “Didn’t you walk away empty-handed too today, Mrs. Quinn?”

Not just empty-handed.

She hadn’t gotten a single worthwhile item.

Mrs. Quinn forced a dry smile. “That’s nothing for me. But your daughter-in-law? You really should keep

her in line.

“With two daughters-in-law causing this much trouble, it must be hard on you as the mother-in-law.”

She made it sound sympathetic.

But what she really meant was that Dora didn’t know how to manage her family.

“You should really learn from Mrs. Reynor,” she added. “Look at her. Five daughters-in-law, and not a single one causing trouble.”

Dora’s expression collapsed.

That was practically saying it outright.

That she was a failure as a mother-in-law.

Her temples throbbed with anger, but before she could respond, Mrs. Quinn had already turned and walked off, laughing.

The satisfaction in that laughter was unmistakable.

Dora snapped, “What’s she so smug about? Her husband’s keeping a mistress on the side, and she still has the nerve to laugh at me!”

Fiona walked beside her, her face still tight with anger.

“This whole auction was a waste,” she said bitterly.

She had come to buy something she liked.

Instead, Stella had snatched everything away.

That pink diamond?

One of Felix’s people had taken it.

And the way he had been protecting Stella tonight, it didn’t take a genius to guess who that diamond was

meant for.

The moment they got into the car, Fiona exploded.

“What is going on with Mrs. Lewis? Wasn’t she supposed to help set me up with Felix? Why haven’t we heard anything back?”

Thinking about how Felix had shielded Stella at the auction-

That blue diamond alone had gone up to two hundred million, and Felix had shut down the entire room from bidding.

He was supposed to be her fiancé.

So what was this with Stella?

Dora was furious too. Just yesterday, she had confidently told Summer that she would bring the blue

diamond back as a reward.
