Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 306

Chapter 306

The moment Stella said that

Felix’s gaze darkened.

Something flickered deep in his eyes, fast and unreadable.

Just as she was about to step out of the car, he tightened his grip on her wrist.

Stella paused. “…”

“That wasn’t your fault,” he said quietly. “And don’t put yourself down like that.”

She froze.

When she turned to look at him, her eyes stung faintly.

Not her fault?

But all those years in the Wright family… every voice around her had said the same thing-

That she was the one who was wrong.

No matter what she did, it was wrong.

And now he was telling her… it wasn’t?

Felix glanced down at her wrist, noticing the redness from his grip. He paused, then gently loosened his hold and rubbed the spot.

His voice softened even more.

“A person’s life is long. You can’t keep punishing yourself forever for a bad choice you made at the start.”

Stella’s throat tightened.

Punishing herself…?

“I’m not-”

“Just thinking that way is already a kind of punishment,” Felix cut in before she could finish.

For many men, once one relationship ends, they move on easily to the next.

But for women…

Even when their hearts stir again, they’re often held back by the weight of past mistakes.

Stella swallowed, her throat dry.

Felix reached out and lightly ruffled her hair. “Go get some rest. Your brother’s already texted twice asking why you’re not home yet.”

She went quiet.

That brother of hers…

But the feeling of being cared for like this-

It was real. Warm.

Back when she was with Evan, he had told her that marrying him meant she would finally have a home.

But in the end, all she found was disappointment.

That had never been a home.

From the moment she stepped into the Wright family, just the thought of dealing with his relatives made something in her recoil.

Stella got out of the car.

Felix watched her walk inside before finally saying to the driver, “Let’s go.”

He pulled out his phone and sent a message to Aaron: ‘She’s doing better now.’

Aaron had been worried sick about his sister. At one point, he had even planned to fly in from the Eirden himself just to keep an eye on her recovery.

It was only after Felix assured him that Stella had moved back to Mount Pansworth for good that he finally

relaxed.

The reply came quickly: ‘Why did she go back to the Wright family in the first place? Did you ask her?’

Felix stared at the message for a moment before replying: ‘She won’t say.’

He had already sent people to investigate.

Back then, there had indeed been an incident.

During a land acquisition dispute, the Wright family had forced a woman to her death.

And that woman-

Her last name had been Rowan.

It had to be said, the Wright family had been untouchable back then. The entire matter had been buried so thoroughly that even the Felix family had never spoken of it.

Stella clearly had her own plan regarding that incident.

Felix chose not to tell Aaron the truth.

Because if he did-

The Wright family would be wiped out overnight.

Aaron didn’t press further when he saw Felix didn’t know.

He only replied: ‘Keep an eye on her for me while she’s there.’
