Chapter 324
It took a lot of coaxing from Dora and Summer before Fiona finally agreed to go see Felix that afternoon.
Dora even said she would have the kitchen prepare some of Felix’s favorite dishes. She had already done her homework on his preferences.
But when she told the kitchen staff to start-
they said they couldn’t even get inside.
Stella’s people had taken over.
No one else was allowed in.
Which meant-
forget their lunch.
Even Summer’s postpartum meal hadn’t been prepared.
Dora exploded. “Didn’t her people go in earlier to cook? Why are they still using the kitchen?”
The housekeeper hesitated, unsure how to respond.
“And what, is our kitchen too small?” Dora snapped. “Why can’t anyone else
It was almost noon.
And Summer still didn’t have her meal ready.
That damned Stella-
Did she really think she owned this house now?
go in?”
The housekeeper lowered her voice. “Her people are blocking the entrance. They’re not letting anyone get close.”
Dora’s temper flared instantly. She stormed downstairs, ready to confront Stella.
But the moment she reached the dining area-
r
She froze.
Stella was already seated at the table.
A full spread of food laid out in front of her.

Bring your own nutritionist.
The Wright family didn’t want to take responsibility for her anyway.
But blocking the kitchen entirely?

That was too much.
Dora strode forward-
But before she could get close to the table, two staff members stepped in front of her.
They looked slim-
but their strength was anything but.
Just standing there, blocking her path, brought back the suffocating pressure from earlier.
And when Dora met their eyes-
A chill shot through her.
These were not ordinary staff.

They looked more like… trained bodyguards.
There was something cold and dangerous about them.
Dora’s anger faltered under their presence.
But when she looked at Stella again, her eyes still burned with resentment.
“What exactly are you trying to do?”
Stella continued eating at an unhurried pace.
Then she said lightly, “Mrs. Wright, have you forgotten why I ended up in the hospital last time?”
Dora’s heart skipped.
That incident-
The hemorrhage-
It had been caused by poison arranged from the old matriarch’s side.
“How do I know whether your people are going into the kitchen to cook,” Stella added calmly, “or to poison me again?”
Dora clenched her teeth. “Fine. You’ve finished cooking. Can our people go in now?”
She could do nothing but endure it.
Right now-
Stella wasn’t someone she could control anymore.
“No,” Stella said.
“Why not?” Dora snapped.
