Chapter 326

Before long, the takeout arrived.

The moment Dora had food brought in for Summer, Stella gave Gray a subtle look.

Gray understood instantly. He signaled one of the staff.

The woman stepped forward and, without hesitation, snatched the bags straight out of Mrs. Mendes’s hands.

Mrs. Mendes’s face darkened. “What are you doing?”

She tried to grab it back, but the woman turned and walked straight into the kitchen.

Mrs. Milan moved to follow-

only to be blocked again.

She turned to Stella. “Madam, what exactly are you doing?”

Stella didn’t even look at her.

A servant wasn’t worth her attention.

A moment later, the staff member came back out.

The packaging was untouched.

She shoved it back into Mrs. Mendes’s hands without a word.

Mrs. Milan looked down at the bags, then back at her. “What did you do to the food?”

No answer.

The woman simply returned to stand behind Gray.

They weren’t going to explain anything.

Whether anything had been done or not-

After passing through Stella’s people’s hands-

Who would still dare eat it?

Mrs. Milan clenched her jaw.

But she couldn’t argue further.

She turned and carried the food upstairs, her anger barely contained.

Upstairs-

She knocked on Summer’s door.

The inoment Dora saw the food, she grabbed it immediately.

Finally.

She was starving.

Between placing the order and getting it delivered, it had already taken a long time.

Security at the estate was strict, so delivery wasn’t easy.

Dora turned to open it-

“Madam,” Mrs. Milan called out.

Her tone was hesitant.

Dora paused. “What is it?”

Something in her voice made Dora’s chest tighten.

A bad feeling crept in.

Then-

“Miss Stella’s people handled the food.”

“What?” Dora’s eyes widened.

Fiona and Summer both looked over at once.

Dora’s temper flared again. “What do you mean? How could you let them touch it?”

That damned Stella.

She was worried about being poisoned-

As if no one else had reason to worry about her doing the same.

She had taken over the kitchen.

Now even the takeout had been interfered with.

What was she trying to do?

Mrs. Milan looked uncomfortable. “They brought so many people. I tried not to hand it over, but they took it.”

“They took it?” Dora nearly blacked out from anger.

Fiona and Summer were both at their limit now.

“What did they put in it?” Dora demanded.

“I don’t know,” Mrs. Milan said. “She took it into the kitchen. I didn’t see what she did.”

Didn’t matter.

Even if nothing had been done-

No one dared eat it now.

Dora had had enough.

She immediately called Evan.
