Chapter 329
That laugh only made Dora’s face turn an even darker shade.
“Even if this isn’t illegal, what about the child?” she snapped. “Aren’t you going to arrest her for that?”
Stella didn’t flinch. “What does that have to do with me?”
“How does it not?”
“You saying it does doesn’t make it true,” Stella replied lightly. “Where’s your evidence?”
“The evidence all points to you!”
“Points to me?” Stella tilted her head slightly. “Has it been proven?”
Dora froze.
“No evidence, just accusations,” Stella went on, her tone calm. “If opening your mouth is enough to convict someone, do you think the police would ever get anything done?”
As she spoke, she glanced at one of the officers with a faint smile.
In the end-
the police left.
They walked out while the argument between the two women was still escalating.
The moment they were gone, Dora collapsed onto the couch.
It felt like all the strength had been drained from her body.
After all these years as Mrs. Wright-
this was the first time she had been completely helpless against someone.
No matter what situation she had faced before, she had always handled it.
Even the worst of them-
She had walked away unscathed.
But now, Stella…

Dora stared at her, grinding her teeth. “You’re only acting like this because you have Felix backing you. Stella, let me give you some advice-leave yourself a way out.”
“You really think that even if you divorce Evan, the Felix family will accept you?” she sneered. “When that time comes, what do you think you’ll be worth?”
The thought of Felix protecting Stella made Dora furious.
Everything had been planned.
Felix was supposed to be engaged to Fiona by now.
And yet

Stella had stepped in and tuined it.
Thinking about it made Dora’s chest tighten.
If she had already gotten through to the Felix family elders, she would have exposed everything by now.
The memory of being turned away at their door only made it worse.
But Stella just laughed.
“You know about leaving yourself a way out?” she said. “Then why didn’t you do that before?”
Dora’s heart skipped.
“What… what do you mean by that?” she asked, her voice faltering.
What exactly was Stella implying?
Did she know something?
No.
That couldn’t be possible.
Those things-
she had never told anyone.
Stella must be talking about how she treated her before.
“I may not have treated you well,” Dora snapped, trying to steady herself, “but I was never that cruel to you. Look at what you’re doing now-”
“Gray.”
“Yes.”
Gray stepped forward immediately.
Dora’s words were cut off.
す
The moment Stella called for him, a chill ran through her chest.
What was she going to do now?
Since morning, Dora had learned one thing-
whenever Stella called that man, nothing good followed.
୮
“Have the living room cleaned,” Stella said calmly. “Anything that should be thrown out, throw it out.”
The moment Dora heard that, she shot to her feet. “Let’s see who dares!”
“Throw it out.”
กา
“Yes.”
Gray gave a signal.
Two staff members stepped forward without hesitation.
They picked up the scattered belongings from earlier-
and walked straight toward the door.
