Stella popped a slice of apple into her mouth, her tone light, almost amused

“As for the divorce,” she added with a famt smile, “it’s not even an issue for me anymore.”

Gray fell silent.

He understood exactly what she meant.

With the way she had turned the Wright family upside down, they probably couldn’t wait to throw her out.

And Evan had definitely heard by now.

Her phone rang.

Stella glanced at the screen and picked up. “Hey, Jennifer.”

“I just got word,” Jennifer said on the other end. “There’ve been multiple fires today. I looked into it, and they’re all properties under Fiona, Dora, and Summer.”

“I did it.”

Jennifer went quiet for a full second.

“…Okay. Wow. Good. Very good.”

She let out a breath, half impressed, half stunned.

“I knew you were going to blow things up when you went back to the Wright estate. But I thought you meant internally. I didn’t think you meant wiping out all their assets.”

Stella gave a soft laugh.

“They like taking things, don’t they? But just because you take something doesn’t mean it becomes yours.”

Jennifer clicked her tongue. “Fair point.”

Things taken from others were never truly theirs to begin with.

“So what, they didn’t stroke out on the spot?”

“Two of them already ran out,” Stella said casually. “There’s one left upstairs.”

Fiona and Dora had already rushed off.

As for Summer-she was still upstairs, probably because she hadn’t gotten the news yet.

Jennifer lowered her voice. “They still don’t know about your connection to Hogarth Group, right?”

“Nope. They think Felix is the one backing me.”

Jennifer scoffed. “Unbelievable.”

She still worried, just a little.

But the Lawson elders, at least, were rational people.

After a few more words, they hung up.

Summer came rushing downstairs.

She was bundled up tightly, clearly in a hurry.

When she saw Stella, she shot her a sharp glare-

but didn’t say a word.

No confrontation.

No argument.

She just walked straight out.

Stella watched her go, a smile curling at her lips.

“Looks like she got the news.”
