Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 400

Chapter 400

Dora and Fiona went downstairs.

This time, Dora was not like yesterday, swinging between arrogance and forced submission.

At this moment, she had returned to her usual haughty self.

As she passed through the living room, she even gave a cold snort, looking every bit as smug and triumphant as before.

Fiona also shot Stella a vicious glare.

The look in her eyes made it seem as if the thing that had once made them fear Stella had completely disappeared.

At their behavior, the corner of Stella’s mouth lifted slightly.

When she heard the door close, Stella looked at Gray.

Gray said, “They probably overheard your phone call with Mr. Hogarth.”

“Did we say anything?”

Or rather, had they said something that could be misunderstood?

Gray said, “Toward the end, you said you would return to Eirden once everything here was handled. You also said you missed Mr. Hogarth.”

“So what did they misunderstand that as?”

They really were members of the Wright family.

Some dogs never stopped eating garbage. They were rotten themselves, so they always assumed everyone else was just as rotten.

Gray said, “If I’m not mistaken, they’re probably on their way to see Mr. Henderson.”

“They’re definitely going to see Felix. If they really misunderstood it that way, the first person they’d go to

would be him.”

It would be a waste not to.

They were probably desperate to tell Felix that Stella was a loose woman.

That she was using Felix to go after the Wright family while planning to run off to Eirden to meet her lover.

“Their imaginations are impressive,” Stella said with a laugh.

Gray asked, “Should I call Mr. Henderson?”

“No. If we warn him, he’ll be prepared. Then some things won’t play out as naturally.”

Gray froze for a second when he heard that, then laughed too.

Miss Stella was truly wicked.

“Looks like Miss Wright didn’t get enough of Mr. Henderson’s anger last time.”

The last time Fiona went to Henderson Group to find Felix, she had said those things to the receptionist.

Felix had been furious then.”

If she went to him today with this kind of news, he might very well snap her neck.

Stella said, “People who have never suffered a real loss are always naive.”

Gray fell silent.

There was nothing wrong with that.

Dora and Fiona were exactly that naive right now.

They thought they were bringing Felix evidence that could destroy Stella.

But in the end, who knew how badly they would embarrass themselves?

To be fair, it was the Wright family’s protection that had kept them from suffering losses all these years.

No matter who they faced, because of their status, people had always let them say and do whatever they wanted.

Back then, no one had dared to talk back to them.

But this time was different.

Gray thought for a moment and said, “Then Mrs. Wright is probably going to the Henderson family home.”

“Don’t worry about it. The Henderson elders won’t see her.”

Dora had always wanted to match Felix with Fiona.

But ever since word got out that Fiona had taken over Stella’s marital home, what decent family in Harbor City would dare marry her?

Stella’s marital home was under her name.

And many of the things her brother had later given his wife had ended up under her name too.

Unless a family wanted chaos under its own roof, no one would accept someone like her.

Gray nodded. “Yes.”

No sooner had they finished speaking than Stella’s phone buzzed.

She picked it up and glanced at the screen.

It was a message from Felix.
