Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 430

Chapter 430

Summer was determined to leave Harbor City.

At this point, she couldn’t care about anything else. She called Ruby directly

But again and again, the call wouldn’t go through.

No one answered.

With no other choice, she called Alex, the man she had always disliked.

Alex picked up. “Miss Bailey.”

His voice sounded noticeably weaker than usual, as if he had suffered a serious blow.

Hearing his tone, Summer’s heart jumped hard.

“Why isn’t my mother answering her phone?”

Summer forced down the unease in her chest, but her tone toward Alex was still arrogant.

Alex had stayed by Ruby’s side for years.

To put it nicely, he was Ruby’s special assistant.

But in truth, Summer had always known there was something between them. She even suspected Andrew was her mother’s son.

As for why Andrew’s identity had been hidden all these years, she didn’t know.

Because of that, Summer had never treated Alex well.

Alex didn’t mind. His tone remained respectful. “Madam still has some matters to handle. She’s very upset

right now.”

“Upset? Is the previous issue still not handled? Didn’t you say it was almost settled?”

Summer’s voice turned cold at once.

Alex said, “Miss Bailey, you shouldn’t ask.”

“What exactly happened?”

“Take care of yourself for now. If there’s nothing important, don’t bother Madam for the time being.”

Summer froze.

Take care of herself?

They were overseas. They had no idea what was happening in Harbor City.

If she could take care of herself right now, she wouldn’t be calling her mother over and over again.

The Wright family was such a powerful family.

Yet now, even they were trapped in Stella’s palm. These past few days, they hadn’t even had room to fight

back.

If Summer didn’t leave Harbor City soon, who knew what would happen to her?

Stella hated her deeply because of those two lost children.

Summer gritted her teeth. “I want to leave Harbor City. Have my mother arrange it for me.’

She said it outright.

Alex asked, “You can’t leave Harbor City right now?”

“If I could, would I be calling my mother?”

At his question, Summer shot back coldly.

She was already being crushed by Stella to the point where she could barely breathe.

Now Alex’s lukewarm attitude made her explode.

“I need my mother’s help right now. I have to leave Harbor City.”

She made it even clearer.

It was because she could no longer take care of herself in the Wright family that she had called her mother.

And Alex was telling her to look after herself?

Ridiculous.

After following her mother for so many years, had he learned nothing? He couldn’t even figure out why she was calling.

Summer was furious.

Hearing the anger in her voice, Alex said calmly, “Madam can’t help you right now.”

“What does that mean? How could my mother not be able to help me?”

Summer’s voice turned even colder.

Was Alex refusing to pass along her situation to her mother, or was her mother truly unable to help?

Over the years, whether in Harbor City or overseas, her mother had been an incredibly powerful figure.
