Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 489

Chapter 489

And Stella forced her?

As far as Dora was concerned, Summer was a shameless bitch through and through. She was convinced Summer had joined forces with Frank to kill her Steven.

At lunch, Dora, Fiona, and Mrs. Mendes had eaten together under the watchful eyes of Stella’s people.

So of course Dora knew Mrs. Mendes had no food to bring to Summer.

Summer froze when she heard that.

Would she really have nothing to eat tonight either?

But she was already so hungry that her head was spinning.

No.

She would not give in to Stella.

She refused to believe that bitch would actually starve her to death.

Without answering Dora, Summer went straight back to her room.

After her fever, Fiona still looked pale. Seeing Summer return to her room, she walked over to Dora.

“She still won’t work?”

Or had Summer still not realized the reality of their situation?

Right now, in the Wright family, no matter how unwilling they were, they could only bow their heads to Stella for the time being.

“She’s just not hungry enough,” Dora said. “It would be better if she starved to death.”

Thinking of how she had worked herself half to death before, only to split half her food with Summer, then thinking of Summer’s attitude toward her just now, Dora felt that Summer was nothing but an ungrateful wretch.

Her poor Steven had died because of that vicious woman’s schemes.

The more Dora thought about it, the stronger her anger burned.

In the end, she could not hold it in anymore. She turned and headed toward the kitchen.

After Summer returned to her room, she started calling Frank.

In front of Dora earlier, she had stubbornly insisted that Stella would never dare starve her to death.

But once she was back in her room and had calmed down, she realized that the Stella of today really was capable of doing something like that.

The phone rang halfway before Frank answered.

“You still dare call me?”

His voice was sharp and furious.

Summer was already full of grievance. Hearing him speak to her like that, she immediately grew upset.

“Why are you talking to me like that?”

She had done so much for Frank before.

Now that he was treating her with this attitude, Summer could not stand it.

Frank snapped, “Have you already forgotten what happened last night? Are you trying to destroy me?”

“Destroy, destroy. Why are you making it sound so serious? I already explained everything to Evan”

Seeing how afraid Frank was of Evan, three words rose in Summer’s mind.

What a coward.

Had he not been so capable before?

Why had he become this spineless after facing Evan this time?

All of a sudden, Summer found herself wondering what kind of man she had fallen for.

He was pathetic.

Steven had never been like this.

Frank asked, “He believed you?”

“Of course he did. Don’t worry. He doesn’t suspect us anymore.

Summer sounded completely certain about Evan’s trust in her.

After all, during the six months after Steven’s death, Evan had trusted her unconditionally.

Every time, between Stella and her, Evan had chosen to believe her.

This time, framing Stella had cost her dearly in front of Stella herself. But at the very least, Evan’s trust had reduced the storm quite a bit.

Frank said, “Then why is he investigating you and me right now?”

Summer froze. “What?”

“He told you he believed you? Then do you know he’s now looking into the timeline of our contact?”

Summer fell silent.

Evan was investigating her?

How was that possible?

He had clearly believed her.

Why would he still investigate her?

“Are you…”

“Don’t contact me for a while unless you want to die.”
