Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 498

Chapter 498

Felix did not answer Stella’s question about how he knew.

Instead, he picked up a piece of perfectly roasted squab and placed it in her small plate.

“You’ve been eating bland food while recovering, haven’t you?”

Stella nodded. “Yes. Everything has been very light.”

Although the food had all been nourishing, and the flavors were decent enough, none of it really suited her taste.

She had been thinking that once her body recovered, she would have to come out and enjoy a proper meal.

The squab had been roasted until the skin was crisp. She liked it very much.

“Evan already knows about Summer and Frank,” Felix said. “Did you know?”

Stella nodded. “I found out last night. When he came back to the Wright estate, he happened to see Summer getting into Frank’s car.”

“And then?”

Felix asked while ladling soup into a bowl for her.

At the word ‘then’, Stella’s hand paused slightly around her fork.

“Then he decided I must have forced Summer into Frank’s car.”

Felix fell silent.

His expression turned cold.

Clearly, Evan’s behavior displeased him even more.

Stella said, “I don’t even know what kind of logic that is. If he thinks I forced Summer into Frank’s car, shouldn’t he at least ask himself why I would do that? Did I force her to go sell herself?”

Honestly.

She was truly amazed by Evan’s thought process.

Whatever Summer said, he believed. But what exactly had Summer said this time?

Knowing her, she had probably acted pitiful and stopped just short of saying it outright, leading him to misunderstand on his own.

And misunderstand he did.

Stella just did not know how far Evan’s imagination had gone this time.

When Felix heard the words ‘sell herself’, he froze for a moment.

Then he laughed softly.

All of a sudden, he found the little girl rather adorable when she was angry.

Stella continued, “And there’s something even funnier. He actually suspects you sold me to Christian.”

Felix fell silent.

“I’m starting to think too much has happened lately, and his brain has completely short-circuited,” Stella said.

Otherwise, how could every word out of Evan’s mouth be more ridiculous than the last?

Felix said, “He has no idea what’s really going on, so he’s making wild guesses.”

Was Evan’s thinking ridiculous?

Not entirely.

The main issue was that he still did not know Stella and Aaron Hogarth were siblings.

So in the meantime, he would naturally come up with all kinds of guesses.

Stella said, “Yes. And every guess gets more absurd than the last.”

In short, everything Evan had said lately seemed beyond ridiculous to Stella.

Felix asked, “When do you plan to stop?”

He asked directly.

He no longer wanted Stella and Evan to remain married, even in name.

At the mention of stopping, Stella said, “There isn’t much time left anyway

During this final stretch, she still intended to torment the Wright family a little longer.

She wanted to be even harsher in the time they had left, harsh enough to make them feel as if they could no longer go on living.

Felix placed the soup in front of Stella. “Your relationship with him should end.”

There was a deep note in his voice when he said ‘end’.

Stella instinctively looked at him.

At that moment, she could clearly see the displeasure in Felix’s eyes over the fact that she and Evan were still legally married.

Stella swallowed the food in her mouth and sighed.

“He and I will end, but you and I…”
