Chapter 503
She had been busy dealing with her own messes.
Life in Eirden had been miserable lately. The stress was so intense that her mind felt like a blur every single day.
“The Wright family has been pushed around by one little bitch to this extent. That’s truly something to see.”
Of course, Ruby herself had also been cornered by Stella to the point where she could barely fight back.
Even so, she still could not help looking down on the Wright family.
Or maybe she was simply dumping all her resentment onto them.
After all, before this, neither Ruby nor the Wright family had ever taken Stella seriously.
And yet the woman they had all looked down on was now making every one of them suffer.
“Mom, what am I supposed to do now? Evan is investigating my relationship with Frank too, and Stella is so aggressive. I really can’t live like this anymore.”
Evan was investigating her and Frank too.
Thinking of Frank’s attitude toward her on the phone, Summer felt even more bitter, with nowhere to voice it.
When Ruby heard that Evan was also looking into Summer’s relationship with Frank, she was so angry she nearly
fainted.
At this point, she truly did not know what to say about this daughter of hers.
“Who do you have to blame?”
She had warned Summer about Frank again and again.
But Summer had refused to listen.
She had even continued seeing Frank in secret.
Ruby asked, “What exactly have you done for Frank?”
“L”
“Forget it. With that brain of yours, Frank must have used you plenty.”
If this had happened in the past, Ruby would have been the first one to tear Frank apart.
But what could she do now?
She could barely protect herself in Eirden.
“You really are going to get all of us killed!”
Ruby was scared now too.
They were already being crushed by Stella. If Evan uncovered something between Summer and Frank, wouldn’t he turn around and go after the Bailey family next?
Although Evan himself had suffered badly at Stella’s hands, if he truly decided to target the Bailey family, they would still be in serious trouble.

Ruby snapped, “You brought all this suffering on yourself!”
At first, she had been furious that Dora ignored Summer and refused to protect her.
But now that she thought about it, Summer deserved it.
Dora already knew everything. How could she possibly continue shielding her?
“Mom…”
“That’s enough. I have plenty of problems of my own.”
With that, Ruby hung up.
At a time like this, who did not have a mountain of problems? She was already irritated enough.
When Ruby abruptly ended the call, Summer’s tears started falling.
She thought about Dora’s attitude toward her, then about Evan refusing to answer her calls.
Then she listened to the busy tone on the phone.
At that moment, Summer felt as if there was no one left for her to rely on.
Even Frank, who used to say such sweet things, now treated her with cold sarcasm.
“Why? Why are you all treating me like this? Is it because I’m useless now?”
The thought filled Summer with rage.
Now, she felt that all the people who had been good to her in the past had only treated her well because she had
value.
Frank was like that.
