Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 520

Chapter 520

Evan had just gotten into the car when Fiona called.

The moment he answered, Fiona was sobbing so hard she could barely breathe.

“Evan, Mom passed out. Come back!”

“What happened?”

“Mom fainted, and they poured cold water on her. It’s freezing out here, Evan. She can’t take it!”

Fiona broke down crying on the phone.

Clearly, when Stella was not at the estate, her people only became more ruthless.

Evan’s blood surged with anger.

He said to Patrick, who was driving, “Go home. Now.”

“Yes, sir.”

He had just hung up on Fiona when Mrs. Mendes, who was with Summer, called too.

On the phone, Mrs. Mendes said anxiously, “Mr. Wright, Miss Bailey fell into the lake while washing carpets by the water. They won’t let her inside to change. They’re trying to freeze her to death!”

In weather this cold, this was a matter of life and death. It was not something anyone could take lightly.

Mrs. Mendes had tried every possible way to reason with them, but nothing worked. In the end, she had no choice but to call Evan.

Evan’s anger surged again.

“Didn’t the carpets just get washed? Why are they washing them again?”

“They told us to wash them.”

Whatever Stella’s people ordered them to do, they had to do it. There was no logic to it at all.

Before, at least they had been able to wipe floors and clean rooms somewhere warm. No matter what, indoor work was better than being outside.

Before, it had only been emotional humiliation.

Now, it was torture for both body and mind.

Evan hung up on Mrs. Mendes and called Stella directly.

One thing about Stella now was convenient. As long as it was Evan calling, she would answer.

Sure enough, after only a few rings, Stella picked up.

Evan gritted his teeth. “Tell me exactly what you’re trying to do. Are you trying to kill them all?”

“If you are, then just kill them outright. At least give them a clean end!”

Evan roared into the phone.

Stella said, “You’re vicious.”

Evan froze.

What?

He was vicious?

Did she even hear herself?

How many vicious things had she done during this time?

And now she was turning around and calling him vicious?

Was this woman insane?

Stella said, “Killing people is illegal. Are you trying to get me sent to prison? You even thought of such a cruel trick. Evan, you really don’t want anything good for me.”

Evan snapped, “You’re afraid of breaking the law? Isn’t that exactly what you’re doing now?”

Breaking the law?

Ha.

Which one of the things she was doing now wasn’t?

Stella said, “Of course it isn’t. This is just an internal family conflict.”

“You…”

“What? Making them do a little work counts as abuse now? A house this big has to be cleaned by someone. I don’t want to do it, so they have to.”

“What’s wrong? When they made me do it before, I didn’t hear you say anything. Now that I’m making them do it, you suddenly have something to say?”

“Evan, you really do feel more sorry for your precious sister-in-law, don’t you?”

“Enough!”

Hearing Stella drag him and Summer together again, Evan finally could not stand it anymore.

After everything between Summer and Frank, he felt disgusted just hearing her name.

Although many things had not yet been fully confirmed, Evan now hated anyone linking him with Summer.

Stella said, “Enough of what? Since you refuse to sign the divorce agreement I gave you, then this is a new beginning.”

What had happened before was nothing.

Now, the real suffering was just beginning.

What was humiliation compared to this?

Physical torment was what truly broke a person down.

Evan said, “Let them change clothes first!”

According to Fiona and Mrs. Mendes’s calls, both Dora and Summer were drenched.
