Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 65

Chapter 65

At the hospital.

When Ruby learned the full truth, she nearly lost control.

Especially after Alex called to confirm that Bay International had been reduced to nothing but a skeletal frame.

Everything inside was gone.

Her jewelry. Her collections. Large amounts of cash.

All burned.

Her entire body trembled with rage.

She turned slowly toward Dora, her eyes cold enough to cut.

“Mrs. Wright,” she said icily, “your family owes me an explanation.

“My daughter just gave birth to twins for your family. And this is how you let your second daughter-in-law behave?

“She not only stirred up public chaos, now she’s burned down my estate at Bay International and trashed two villas. Are you planning to compensate me for those losses?”

Dora’s temples throbbed.

Stella had gone too far.

How dare she?

Dora forced herself to inhale slowly.

“Please rest assured,” she said stiffly. “The Wright family will give you an answer.’

Ruby let out a cold laugh.

“I must have been blind to marry my daughter into your family.”

It was a sharp remark.

Yes, Ruby had benefited over the years from Summer marrying into the Wrights.

But at this moment, she held nothing back.

Dora’s expression darkened.

“I’ve already said we will handle it.”

She could admit fault when necessary.

But Ruby’s tone carried a hint of disdain toward the Wright family itself.

That, Dora did not appreciate.

Who in the Wright family could truly control Evan?

Evan’s older brother had been gone for six months. If they didn’t remove Stella now, what – let her become the future matriarch of the family?

Before Dora could respond, Ruby continued coldly,

“One thing is certain. My daughter will not remain in the same household as that woman.”

The message was clear.

Either Stella stays.

Or Summer does.

Not both.

Dora’s face hardened.

“What are you implying?”

“After Summer is discharged, I’m taking her and the children with me,” Ruby said flatly. “When you’ve dealt with that troublemaker, we can talk.”

Troublemaker.

She didn’t bother to soften the word.

Summer’s face went pale.

“Mom, I-”

“Be quiet.”

Ruby’s voice snapped like a whip.

Summer fell silent immediately.

She didn’t want to leave.

She needed to stay in the Wright household – needed to keep Evan close.

Ruby shot her a warning look, and Summer didn’t dare speak again.

Dora, who had already felt cornered over the situation, finally reached her limit.

Without another word, she turned and left with Fiona.

The hospital room fell quiet.

Summer looked anxiously at her mother.

“Mom,

what are you doing? I need to stay at the Wright house. I have to keep Evan tied down.”

Her meaning was obvious.

As long as she remained there, she could continue driving a wedge between Evan and Stella.

Especially now.

After everything that had happened today, Evan’s stance had unsettled her.

And then-
