Chapter 66
Ruby knew Dora’s temperament well.
Proud. Couldn’t stand being disrespected.
After being humiliated like that, Dora would absolutely turn around and take it out on Stella.
Good.
That was exactly what Ruby wanted.
She didn’t just want Stella punished.
She wanted her restless. Cornered. Miserable.
And it wouldn’t just be Dora.
Ruby wouldn’t let this-go either.
That little bitch had burned Bay International.
Burned it.
She would make her pay for that.
Summer, sensing her mother still had something up her sleeve, asked carefully,
“What about Felix Henderson? Why did he assign someone to stay with Stella?”
They had already confirmed that a man from Eirden had been stationed at Stella’s side recently.
And Stella had been seen frequently with Felix.
It wasn’t hard to assume the foreigner worked for him.
Felix was not someone they could afford to offend.
Summer worried her mother, in her rage, might overstep.
Ruby let out a cold laugh.

“Whatever his reason, it’s certainly not because he’s interested in a married woman who’s already been pregnant.”
Summer fell silent.
Ruby’s eyes gleamed with calculation.
“As for why he’s helping her…”
She paused deliberately.
“Men,” she scoffed. “All that brotherhood nonsense? In front of real interests, it’s nothing but smoke and mirrors.”
In Ruby’s view, Felix must have his eye on something Evan controlled.

Getting close to Stella was just a distraction tactic.
A way to destabilize Evan
Summer hesitated.
“You really think that’s it?”
To her, Felix didn’t seem like the type to use suck underhanded tactics.
His friendship with Evan had lasted years.
Ruby waved it off dismissively.

“I’ve seen every kind of man there is.”
In her mind, there was no world in which Felix genuinely cared about Stella.
“Just wait for your mother-in-law to act.”
Ruby had intentionally refused to give Dora face earlier.
Dora, furious and humiliated, would inevitably move against Stella.
“She wants a divorce?” Ruby sneered. “Fine.”
“If that’s truly what she wants.”
Because if Stella intended to remain in the Wright family, then the heat she was about to face would be
unbearable.
“This time,” Ruby said coldly, “whether she wants a divorce or not, she’s getting one.”
For the first time in days, Summer felt her chest loosen slightly.
Just as Ruby predicted, Dora left the hospital seething.
The moment she got into the car, she ordered the driver to take her to Inkwood Garden.[
Fiona muttered from the passenger seat, “Mrs. Bailey went too far. You’ve done everything you could for
Summer.”
“If I were her, I’d go too far,” Dora snapped.
Then her expression twisted with fury.
“I underestimated that little witch. She burned Bay International. What is she incapable of?”
Her anger simmered all the way to Mo Garden.
When she stepped out of the car, she looked ready to tear someone apart.
Upstairs.

Stella was trying to shove Evan off the bed.
After everything that had happened today, he still had the audacity to hold her like this?
“Get off me.”
“Stop,” he muttered. “Go to sleep.”
There was irritation in his voice, but he didn’t loosen his grip.
