Chapter 723

Stella lifted a brow. “You said you have nowhere to go. So you want to stay here, at the Wright estate?”

“You’re willing to save Steven’s son, so you can’t truly hate him. I’m his wife. I should be allowed to live here

Summer spoke through gritted teeth.

Hearing Summer’s reason for wanting to stay, Stella let out a quiet, mocking laugh.

“Now you remember you’re Steven’s wife?”

The sarcasm in her voice was unmistakable.

Summer said nothing.

Her face turned deathly pale.

Humiliation spread through her chest.

But what choice did she have?

She had none.

Summer took a deep breath. “I ended up like this because of you.

“Stella, you’re the real disaster. You went after everyone without caring who was actually at fault.”

Stella said, “You think I went after people without reason?”

“Didn’t you? You already got your revenge on the Bailey family before. So while you were dealing with the Wrights this time, why did you keep targeting my family?”

The Bailey family had already paid the price.

Yet while Stella was going after the Wrights, she had not spared the Baileys either.

Summer was losing her mind.

All she could think about was Ruby calling her again and again, forcing her to do something-

And now Ruby had abandoned her completely.

All of it was Stella’s fault

Everything Stella had done had cost Summer every last thing she had

Watching Summer’s frantic expression, Stella could guess what had happened.

The smile on her lips deepened “Your mother abandoned you, didn’t she?”

Summer said nothing

The word “abandoned” made her face go even whiter

Stella said, “Then you really are pathetic

“Back when you were living with the Wrights as Steven’s wife, you spent all your time helping your mother, Ruby, and giving Frank whatever advantages he wanted And now?”

+15 Ba

Stella paused, her tone turning sharper.

“Frank threw you away. Even your own mother threw you away.”

Pathetic?

No one was more pathetic than Summer.

“You really did turn your whole life into a joke.”

The word “joke” cut into Summer’s heart like a blade.

Before she could respond, Stella continued, “Everyone has abandoned you, and now you want to keep living here by using the title of Steven’s wife, even though you’re the one who got him killed.”

“Birds of a feather flock together. You and Frank really are the same kind of person.”

They only ever cared about themselves.

When Summer had nowhere to go, she was willing to do anything shameless to protect her own interests.

Each word struck like another blow, cutting Summer deeper.

No matter how shameless Stella said she was, Summer still felt too humiliated to lift her head.

She could barely breathe.
