Chapter 745
Stella called the number again.
The call cut off after a single ring.
He could send her messages, but she could not call him.
Stella was furious. She texted back at once.
“Evan, if you’re a real man, come back and sign the divorce papers!”
That bastard.
Of all the things he could have done, he chose to run.
Who exactly was he running from?
It made no sense.
But the message failed immediately.
A red exclamation mark appeared on her screen.
He had blocked her from texting too.
So Evan could message her while she could not call or text him back?
If he decided to insult her now, she would not even get the chance to respond.
Evan was unbelievable.
When Stella stepped out of the restroom and approached the sinks, she heard Felix’s voice outside.
He was on the phone.
His low voice carried clearly.
“I didn’t expect you to still know about this after being pushed into a corner.”
Stella froze.
Pushed into a corner?
Know about what?
The words made it impossible not to think of everything she had done to the Wright family.
Felix had also put enormous pressure on Evan.
Evan had messaged her twice today.
Could Felix be talking to Evan now?
Before she could sort through it, Felix’s voice came again.
“You didn’t call me just to bring this up in front of Stella, did you?”
Stella said nothing.

Bring what up in front of her?
Her fingers tightened around the edge of the sink.
What was Felix talking about?
What was he hiding from her?
Her breathing turned shallow, and her mind went blank.
Felix was keeping something from her?
She thought of Evan’s messages.
That line about Felix not being a good man.
She had not believed it.
She had even wanted to call Evan just to curse him out.
But now, the messages and Felix’s call seemed to overlap.
Had Evan been telling the truth about something?
Could Felix really be hiding a side of himself from her?
Of course, Felix was not a good man in the ordinary sense.
A man did not rise as high as Felix had in Harbor City by being harmless.
But would that side of him ever be turned on her?
She thought of the way Evan had once treated her so well, and how sharply that had changed later.
She had paid dearly for that contrast.
She had been hurt too deeply.
She could not bear to go through the same thing with another man.
When Felix returned to the lounge, Gray was there, but Stella was nowhere in sight.
Gray greeted him respectfully. “Mr. Hernandez.”
“Where’s Stella?”
