Chapter 746
When Stella came closer, Felix took her hand.
“You went to the restroom?”
His voice was gentle.
But his eyes studied her carefully.
When he saw nothing unusual in her gaze, some of the tension in his chest eased.
Stella nodded. “Yeah. It’s almost time. Let’s go.”
“Okay.”
Felix stood.
Holding Stella’s hand, he led her farther inside.
All the way until they boarded, Stella showed no sign that anything was wrong.
Once they were seated, she looked at Felix.
“Still no news about Evan?”
The question sounded casual, but it was a test.
During those minutes in the restroom, she had thought it over again and again.
She still believed Evan had been the one on the phone with Felix.
But what had they been talking about?
And what did Felix mean when he said he did not want something brought up in front of Stella?
Felix glanced at her, then gently rubbed the top of her head.
“No.”
Stella said nothing.
No?
Then who had Felix been talking to?
What did those words mean?
What was he hiding from her?
“What are you thinking about?”
When Stella fell silent, Felix gave her hand another soft squeeze.
She shook her head. “Nothing. I’m just disappointed that I’m going back to Eirden without divorcing Evan.”
To Stella, an ending with Evan had to be a complete one.
But in the end…

Hearing the regret in her voice, Felix said, “Don’t worry. That relationship won’t last much longer.”
His words eased something inside her.
Stella nodded. “Okay.”
Aaron had already sent people to look for Evan too.
Surely, it would not be long before they found him.
Just then, a message appeared on Felix’s phone.
‘Sir, it’s all taken care of.‘
Stella caught a glimpse of it.
Just earlier, Felix had said something could not be brought up in front of her.
Now it was taken care of?
What had been taken care of?
And who?
Felix did not respond.
He only read the message and put his phone away.
“Stella.”
He suddenly called her name.
She looked at him. “What is it?”
“You don’t need to worry about my family. I’ll handle everything.‘
His words were firm, carrying a sense of security that felt almost absolute.
But Evan had once made her feel safe too.
And how had that ended?
Just then, Felix’s phone rang.
It was Lucas.
Felix answered.
“Felix, I think Evan may have gone to Seaborne.”
“Are you sure?”
