Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 782

Jennifer’s face darkened the moment she heard that.

“Both of ours?”

“Of course. It’s both of yours, so you don’t get to decide this on your own.”

Jennifer nearly lost it.

“You…”

“Hey, no swearing.”

Before she could curse him out, Lucas cut her off.

Jennifer was furious.

Both of theirs?

So when she told Leon about the hundred dollars, that had been her stirring up trouble alone.

But now it had suddenly become something that involved both of them.

She shot Lucas an annoyed glare.

“Stop meddling.”

With that, she turned and headed into the hotel.

For the first time, Jennifer understood why Stella had hated the people around Evan so much.

A man could be awful, but his friends would always take his side.

Stella had liked Lucas before.

But Jennifer definitely did not like him now.

Especially since she had already told him to stay out of it, and he still followed her.

When she stepped into the elevator, Lucas followed.

Jennifer blocked the entrance.

“What exactly are you doing?”

“Until Leon gets here, I’m staying with you.”

Jennifer stared at him.

“And what are you supposed to do with me? You’re a man. If I go to my room to sleep, are you following me in there too?”

Was Leon out of his mind?

Finding out about her pregnancy so quickly was bad enough.

Now he had Lucas following her around too.

She had come all the way to Hamilton to deal with this, and she still could not get away from him.

Jennifer was beyond irritated.

“You sleep. I won’t bother you,” Lucas said, trying to step into the elevator.

But Jennifer did not move aside.

She crossed her arms and looked at him.

“Is that really the point?”

“There’s nothing I can do.”

Jennifer went silent.

Nothing he could do?

So he was determined to keep an eye on her for Leon?

That was going to be a problem.

Just then, someone else came over to use the elevator.

Jennifer had no choice but to move.

And Lucas slipped inside at once.

Jennifer said nothing.

She was ready to curse someone out.

What was this mess?

When she got back to her room, Lucas followed her in.

Jennifer pulled out her phone and called Leon.

He picked up almost instantly.

“So you finally decided to answer.”

Leon’s voice was cold.

He had not been able to reach Jennifer since the night before, and it had clearly worn down his patience.

He hated arguments and silent treatment to begin with.

And he had never dealt with anything like this before.

Jennifer said bluntly, “Tell Lucas to leave.”

She did not bother accommodating Leon’s temper like she used to.

Back when they were getting along, she had often given in to him.

But things were different now.

His mother had humiliated her like that.

If she still bent over backward for Leon, what would that make her?
