Chapter 861
Felix left.
Gray hurried inside and passed him at the door.
“Miss Rowan.”
Seeing the cold fury surrounding Felix, Gray knew they must have argued over Summer again.
Who would have imagined it?
Felix had once stood firmly on Stella’s side in Harbor City.
No one could have expected his attitude to change so completely because of Summer.
Stella’s face revealed nothing.
Perhaps she was simply hiding it well.
There was not even a trace of sadness in her expression.
“What happened with Summer?”
“The diagnosis is real. She does have kidney failure. We’ve already handed her over to the authorities.”
That was where Summer belonged.
Kidney failure did not erase her crimes.
She still had to answer for everything she had done.
Before, Evan had always stood in the way.
Now it was Felix.
But no matter who tried to stop her, Stella would make sure Summer faced the consequences.
“Keep the information completely sealed. Felix won’t give up.'”
Gray nodded.
“Understood.”
Felix’s people were searching everywhere for Summer
Unfortunately for them, Felix did not understand Stella well enough to guess where she would send her
“Why didn’t you just get rid of her?” Gray asked.
That was the one thing he did not understand.
If Summer disappeared permanently, there would be no future trouble.

Why go through such a long process just to make her pay?
“Because I’m punishing her for committing crimes,” Stella said. “If I crossed that line myself, wouldn’t that make me a criminal too?”
Gray fell silent.
Then he understood.
Stella refused to become the same kind of person she hated.
She despised Summer.
She despised the entire Wright family.
But even though Dora had caused her mother’s death, Stella had still made sure Dora answered through the law instead of taking matters into her own hands.
Speaking of Dora…
Back in Harbor City, Dora and Fiona were having a miserable time serving their sentences.
Harold had visited once, only to blame Dora for everything.
The once-powerful Mrs. Wright and the spoiled Wright heiress were now prisoners.
“Mom,” Fiona whispered, “are we really never getting out?”
Dora said nothing.
Because of the evidence Stella had uncovered, their sentences had already been handed down.
The charges against them were severe.
There would be no walking away from them.
They had lost their freedom.
And their futures were no longer in their own hands.
Dora closed her eyes.
“Fiona, if there’s another life after this one, be a better person.
Fiona froze.
A better person.
Did that mean there truly was no hope left?
Her chest tightened, and tears spilled down her face.
“I don’t want to die.”

She was still young.
