Chapter 882
“Gray.”
So much for Gray.
He had only been at Stella’s side for a short time, and he had already forgotten whose orders he was truly supposed to follow.
“Understood.”
Aaron ended the call.
The line went silent, and so did the entire study.
Felix lit a cigarette and took a few drags, Stella’s coldness toward him these past few days frashing through tris mind. 2
He let out a bitter laugh.
Everyone had their own helplessness in life.
Back when Evan had treated Stella that way, Felix had wanted to tear him apart.
And now, in such a short time, he had managed to drive Stella away too.
By the time he finished the cigarette, Felix called Evan.
Evan answered quickly.
“What is it, Mr. Hernandez?”
The formal address made one thing perfectly clear.
Whatever brotherhood had once existed between them was over
It had ended back in Harbor City.
The moment Felix openly tried to take Stella from him, then helped her keep Evan trapped there, their friendship had been
finished.
“Things in Eirden are more complicated than you realize,” Felix said. “You’d better stop interfering with her.”
Felix knew Evan would never deliberately harm Stella.
But everything Evan did affected the way she judged the situation around her.
For example, digging up the woman who had died.
Felix did not bother softening his words.
Evan gave a disbelieving laugh.
“Felix, I don’t think you understand. She’s my wife.”
“We’re not divorced,” he added.
At that, Felix’s grip tightened around the phone.
“You know she wants to go to Ravaria, don’t you?”
“I know. I’m trying to get her to come to Seaborne instead.”
Evan knew Stella could not see the situation clearly and only wanted to escape it.

Chapter 292
But his instincts told him she could not go to Ravaria.
“If she goes to Seaborne, you won’t be able to protect her,” Felix said.
“What?”
Evan’s voice turned cold.
“What is this? You won’t stop until you’ve finished using her?”
Did Felix mean that even if Stella made it all the way to Seaborne, he would still follow her there?
If so, then Felix had hidden his intentions far better than anyone had realized.
Back in Harbor City, everyone had believed he had fallen for Stella.
They had believed his feelings were genuine.
But now, that so–called sincerity seemed almost laughable.
“You’re so certain I’m using her?” Felix asked.
“Then tell me what else it is.”
If it was not exploitation, what was it?
“And whe
you’re at it,” Evan continued, “tell me why you’re helping Summer.”
