Chapter 897
Early the next morning, Stellahad just corne downstairs for breakfast when Jack arrived.
Another man came with him.
Stella did not recognize him, but he was clearly one of Felix’s men.
She took a sip of milk without even looking at Jack.
“Miss Rowan, is there anything you need to bring?” Jack asked. “We can have someone pack it for you immediately.”
Only then did Stella lift her eyes toward him.
“What do you mean?”
Her voice was cold, but Jack remained respectful.
“We’re here to take you to the Black Sea.”
“I’m not going.”
The three words were firm.
Even if she was leaving Eirden, she would not be going to the Black Sea.
She would go wherever she chose.
Felix had been forceful about it yesterday.
Evan had also told her to leave with Seymour.
She really had walked straight into a den of wolves.
Every one of them was making her life unbearable.
Jack’s respectful manner took on a harder edge.
“Your brother has already agreed to let Mr. Hernandez take you to the Black Sea.”
Stella froze.
The glass slipped in her hand, spilling milk across the table.
The servants hurried forward to clean it up.
She looked at Jack, fury burning in her eyes.
“What did you just say?”
Aaron had agreed too?
The last trace of warmth disappeared from Stella’s face.
She could hardly believe what she had heard.
Did Aaron simply trust Felix that much?
Or were their interests so deeply tied that Stella’s wishes meant nothing?
The matter with Summer had already been bad enough.
And now he had agreed to send her to the Black Sea too.

For une terrible moment, Stella even began to question whether Aaron was truly her brother.
If he was, how could he treat her this way?
He knew exactly how sensitive she was about Summer.
He also knew how much she now resented Felix.
Yet time after time, he still chose Felix’s side.
“Mr. Hogarth knows you’re leaving with us today,” Jack said. “He approved it.”
Stella let out a cold laugh.
Approved it.
“So I don’t get a choice?”
Felix had even secured Aaron’s cooperation.
No.
There had probably been no need to persuade him at all.
Whatever Felix said, Aaron believed.
Whatever Felix wanted, Aaron agreed to.
“This is for your safety,” Jack said. “Mr. Hogarth is also leaving for Ravaria today.”
“Safety?”
Stella laughed again.
That excuse was even more ridiculous.
She picked up her knife and fork and slowly cut into her steak.
She did not particularly like the breakfast.
But the kitchen had clearly known she was expected to leave that morning, so they had prepared something simple.
She took an unimpressed bite.
“Where is Felix?”
“Mr. Hernandez is waiting for you at the airport.”
Stella swallowed the bite of beef.
“I’m not going.”
Her answer had not changed.
She did not believe a single word about this being for her protection.
Felix’s call came in.
Stella rejected it immediately.
