Chapter 896
The greatest mystery now was why Felix insisted on taking Stella to the Black Sea.
“You’d better be careful,” Amos warned. “There’s no telling what Felix is really planning.”
And if his intentions were malicious, it would be nearly impossible to guard against him.
“What does Stella think about all this?” Amos asked.
Her attitude was the key.
What did she intend to do?
Wait.
That was not right.
Before Evan could answer, Amos asked, “What does the Hogarth family think?”
Stella’s opinion was not the deciding factor here.
What mattered was the Hogarth family’s position.
If Aaron refused to let Felix take Stella to the Black Sea, then Felix would not be able to do much about it.
The Hogarth family held extraordinary power in Eirden.
“Seymour says Aaron has probably agreed to it,” Evan replied.
“What? But…”
Amos was left speechless.
“Then this really is complicated.”
Under normal circumstances, the Hogarth family should never have agreed to let Felix take Stella to the Black Sea.
Everyone who knew anything about the region understood how dangerous it was.
It was not somewhere anyone entered lightly.
Evan closed his eyes.
“It is.”
From the moment Stella returned to Eirden, he had sensed that the situation was far more complicated than it appeared.
“So what are you going to do now?”
There was obvious tension in Amos’s voice.
He was afraid Evan would abandon the Black Sea operation and rush straight to Eirden for Stella.
They were already on the verge of making their move.
“What else can I do?” Evan said. “The moment she leaves the Hogarth estate tomorrow, Seymour will take her to the Black Sea by force.”
“You’re sending her there too?”
“At least she’ll be with me.”

Bringing her back to Seaborne was not realistic.
That woman would fight him every step of the way.
He expected to remain in the Black Sea region for around two weeks, so the only option was to have Seymour take her there directly.
Amos frowned.
“I don’t know about that.”
Their upcoming operation was extremely dangerous.
Bringing Stella along would only give them another person to protect.
“Why not have Seymour bring her back to Seaborne and keep her there?” Amos suggested.
“Do you think Felix will let that go?”
Seymour had already reported that Felix intended to take Stella to the Black Sea by force.
If they brought her to Seaborne instead, Felix would undoubtedly try to take her from there.
Evan could not risk it.
Once he got Stella out of Eirden, he had no intention of ever letting her return.
Amos nodded in understanding.
“That’s true. Felix really is…”
He could not even find the right words to describe the man.
