Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 981

Back in Eirden, Felix went straight to Aaron after ending the call with Stella.

He told Aaron that he needed to leave for Seaborne immediately.

Aaron froze.

“Right now?”

“Yes.”

“She’s really in Seaborne?”

Felix was not the only one who doubted it.

Aaron found the timing suspicious too.

Why would Stella suddenly call now?

“Doesn’t it feel deliberate?” Aaron asked.

“What if she really is there?”

Even if there was only the slightest chance, Felix intended to go and bring her back.

Seeing how determined he was, Aaron let out a helpless sigh.

“That stubborn girl. Why does she always…”

He stopped himself.

Aaron had no idea what to do with his sister anymore.

She was constantly on guard around them.

And now, at a time like this, she had suddenly asked Felix to pick her up.

Aaron did not believe for a second that there was no scheme behind it.

“You know she’s working with Amos now,” he said. “And don’t you think this is a little too obvious?”

It was such a blatant attempt to draw them away that it almost felt insulting.

“I still have to go,” Felix said firmly.

Aaron fell silent.

“You have to?”

“She’s doing this on purpose.”

Aaron’s tone grew heavier.

He wanted Stella brought back just as badly as Felix did.

But this was clearly a trap.

“She doesn’t trust me anymore. I…”

Felix could not finish.

Aaron’s words only made the pressure in his chest worse.

After a long breath, he said, “And that’s exactly why Stella chose to side with him.”

They had given her every reason not to trust them.

Felix found himself wishing they had never returned to Eirden.

“If I’d known how much you wanted from Litt, or that he had this kind of connection to Summer, I never would’ve brought Stella back here.”

Anywhere else would have been better.

They could even have stayed in Harbor City.

Since returning, Stella had not been happy for a single day.

Everything had only spiraled further out of control.

“That’s not fair,” Aaron began.

“What you consider normal crossed every line she had a long time ago.”

Felix cut him off.

And he was right.

The things Aaron had always treated as perfectly ordinary had gone far beyond what Stella could accept.

She could not accept that this was the kind of family she had returned to.
