Daisy
Asshole.
Raven was a fucking asshole.
I’d been around a lot of them throughout mu life but none had quite hurt my feelings and pissed me off quite like Raven just had.
He could be moody, he could want his space. What he wasn’t allowed to do was call me a child and treat me like I didn’t get to have opinions because I was
younger than him.
Especially when he was balls deep inside of me not to long ago.
Asshole
Storming into the kitchen I was greeted by some of the other significant others. One look at my face and they flocked around me like mother hens.
“Don’t tell me he’s drinking?”
I nodded. If they knew that then maybe this was a regular occurrence. Was Raven an alcoholic?
But no. I’d lived with him for a while now I would have noticed.
“He does that. He’s not very good at the emotional stuff. Did he snap at you?”
Again I nodded.
“Sweet girl.” Arms wrapped around me. “What a gorgeous girl is doing with an old grump like him we don’t know. You could have any guy you wanted”
“I don’t want anyone but Raven. I love him.” I said finally.
They fell silent. But I could tell by their faces that they believed me. Again I was hugged.
“I think I just need to get out.” Catching their startled looks I quickly amended it ‘I don’t mean out of the relationship. Just out of here for a few hours. I’ve been locked up pretty consistently my entire life. Including here and at Ravens house. I don’t even remember the last time had any fun
“Girls brunch?” Someone squealed.
“I’ve never been to brunch.” I admitted. “What does that even entail?”
“Good food, girl chat and ”
“Cocktails.” They exclaimed together, like a bunch of excited teenagers One woman who must have been at least fifty clapped her hands
I couldn’t heip it, I smiled. Their excitement was contagious. “Sounds amazing but I don’t think Raven would like ine going out and drinking”
“You’re old enough to drink right?”

Chapter 118
I zatte! my eyes: “Yeah I’m old enough to drink,” god it was exhausting how often I was treated like a child. “I’m
Just not sure he would be ok with -”
“He’s drinking Daisy. And even if he wasn’t. You do realise he isn’t the boss of you right? I mean if you don’t want to go that’s fine but don’t let a man dictate to you what you do. It’s not like any of them will be around much today. There is so much for them to sort through.”
Chewing my lips mulled it over. They were right of course, Raven wasn’t my father he couldn’t tell me what to do. He might not like it but I wanted to go and have brunch and cocktails with the girls.
I wanted to do normal girly things.
“Do you think it’s safe?” I continued to chew on my lip.
“Your brother got locked up right?”
I beamed at her. She was right. Josh was in a prison cell. For the first time in my adult life I could be a normal person without having to look over my
shoulder every second.
“Let’s do it.” Now it was my turn to clap my hands. “I might need to change though right?” I plucked at the over sized tee of Ravens I was wearing. “Girls
dress cute at brunch?”
At least that’s what I had seen on tv.
“You would look cute in a bin bag Daisy. But yes we should all go change and meet back here in twenty?” A line appeared between her eyebrows. “I’ll have to tell Dawg he’s on kid duty. He’s going to love that.” With a wicked glint in her eye she rushed away.
I moved more slowly towards Ravens room. He didn’t turn from his place at the bar. Even though I was sure he could feel my eyes on him.
Fine.
My shoulders hunched. Fine if he wanted to act like a moody teenager then I was going to go out with the girls. He could act like a child and pout instead of communicating what he was feeling like an adult.
I was going to find something pretty to wear and drink fruity cocktails with the ladies.
1 Twenty minutes later I was hovering by the common room chewing my lip and wondering if I should tell Raven I was going out when the others arrived.
Some of them were dressed in skin tight jeans and cropped shirts, some in flowing summer dresses. I had opted for something in the middle. My jeans flattered my figure and the lace edged floral top was summery and pretty. I’d even placed a fake flower in way ponytail.
Someone whistled and I turned to find Lottie come towards us. “God girl.” She whistled again. “You look gorgeous”
“Thank you. So do you! Are you coming with us?,” I liked the other ladies and they had been more than welcoming but Lottie was the only person I had ever met that had gone through what I had. She understood me
We were friends.
“I want to but I’m gonna be needed here.”
My face fell.
