Lottie
I sat in the dark on Xander’s sofa, Killian next to me. Neither one of us spoke though. We just sat next to each other. Not touching, not talking. All could think of was that there was half a motorcycle club rummaging around my home. Finding out my secrets. And it was taking me antsy.
I kept clenching my hands into fists, leaving little half crescent misons in my skin.
“Stop that.” Killian caught my hand in his, smoothing his thumb across my palm. “You’re hurting yourself.”
I shrugged. How could I explain to him that the sharp bite of pain kept me from spiralling out of control.
“It’s going to be ok.” Lifting my hand, he pressed his lips to the red marks. “Nothing is going to happen to you but-*
I yanked my arm back. “I don’t want to talk about it.” I cradled my hand against my chest and rocked back away from him. “Not with you, and not with-
My eyes fell on the door just a second before it opened and the rest of his club walked in.
Led by Raven with Xander close behind. None of the men looked particularly happy and that sent my nerves on edge again.
Clearly what they had found wasn’t good.
“Not with them either.” I drew my legs up, chin jerking the club that were falling into chairs like this was their Joe. I wrapped my arms around my knees and tried to smile. But when I looked at Raven there was nothing but arguments in his eyes.
Great. Just what I needed. Another biker was mad at me. It seemed to be an ongoing pattern throughout my life.
“Anything?” I asked. I was too tired for this. I just wanted to go home and grawl into my bed.
He shook his head. “Just the pictures. Which I’m guessing are from today’s antics.” Ravens midnight dark eyes bored down into mine. “Someone’s been
through your things though.”
I sighed of course they had. Next to me Killian snapped his head up. “What do you mean he’s gone through her stuff?”
His voice was even but there was a note to it. And it was a note I didn’t like too much.
ľ
“I mean it looks like her clothes have been ransacked. Everything has been sliced. The underwear drawer has been tipped off. I can’t see if anything missing but-”
“Someone took her fucking underwear?” Killian jumped to his feet. His hands balled into fists at his side. “What kind of sick-” he trailed off. His breathing was heavy. Slowly he turned to me. And I shrank back, closing my eyes from the weight of his eyes.
“You fucking know don’t you.” His voice shook. “This has happened before. You said so yourself. But you thought it was me.” Killian’s voice rose. No one el spoke. Not even Xander. They were all just watching us.
“It’s not the same.” I mumbled only, it was exactly the same. Just in a different sort of way. “I just thought my words were shattered when he swung around and smashed his fist into the nearest wall.
I cried out, my cry mumbled as I bit down onto my fist. Now this was the Killian I didn’t like. The one that couldn’t control his rages. The one I levelled

my tea Med eyes on hix. The one who everyone believed was guilty of a crime I committed.
“I know who is doing this. He growled out, “I know.” Striding towards me, he lifted me. Gathering me up in his arms, and pressed his lips to mine in a kiss that was desperate. Half ownership and half unbridled need. Before I could wrap ray arms around him, he stood back. “I’ll sort it out now.”
“What-” Xander tried to move into his path and was roughly pushed aside.
Sobbing into my hand I fell back on to the sofa. “Go after him” I begged. “Please just go after him. if he goes out there he’s going to end up in prison of 1 hiccuped a sob. “Or dead.” I lifted tear filled eyes to Xander, to Raven, to any of them that would help me stop him making a massive mistake. “Please just stop him from doing something stupid.”
The roar of Killians bike was deafening loud. Two men detached themselves from the group and went after him. Xander looked torn.
“Go.” Raven ordered. “You’re the only one who he will listen to. I’ll stay with Lottie. I won’t let anything happen to her.” He added when Xander continued to hesitate. “You have my word brother.”
Xander didn’t look at me before he rushed out as well. Leaving me with a man in a worn leather cut that I was pretty sure hated me.
“When you framed Irish- Killian.” He amended quickly. “The guy you hurt was-”
I stared at my hands for a second. “The son of the president of another club.” I said finally my voice was completely flat. It wasn’t that I wasn’t feeling anything, more like I was feeling too much. I couldn’t make sense of my emotions. Not one of them.
“We dated- kind of. It didn’t work out and he wouldn’t take no for an answer-” I gave a shrug. “Then things happened. I don’t want Killian to get into trouble for me again. I couldn’t live with myself if that happened again.”
Ravens eyes narrowed. “You seemed to be living just fine since it happened.” He snapped.
Open mouthed I stared at him. But could I argue with that. I knew how it looked.
“It ate me up inside.” I whispered.
For the space of ten seconds Raven stared at me. His look wasn’t friendly but I didn’t expect it to be. Finally he sighed. “Come with me.”
“What?” Even as I said it I was already climbing to my feet. “Where are we going?”
