Chapter 154 From Heir to Outcast
The bodyguard said “Your mother and your half–sister have both been sent to prison. You’d better look out for yourself. Mr. Newton said if you ever come back to Grandridge, he’ll break a leg every time he sees you. If you don’t want to end up crippled, stay far away.”
Duncan froze. “What did you just say?! What happened? Why? What right does Raymond have to treat us like this? We’re part of the family too! Where’s dad? I want to see him! He would never do this to us. This has to be Raymond–he must have taken control of everyone! That jerk! I knew from the first day he came back he was trouble. He wants to steal the inheritance from me. In his dreams!”
The bodyguard looked at him calmly. “Seems like the one dreaming is you. Your dad would rather see you dead. Your mother lived a pretty wild life when she was young. No one knows who fathered you or your sister. Neither of you are related to the Newtons. And the two of you don’t even share the same father.”

Duncan stood there, stunned. He couldn’t believe a word of it.
“I don’t believe you! This is Raymond’s scheme! Dad would never do this to me! Let me talk to him!”
The man sighed, then pulled out his phone and showed him the latest news from Grandridge.
In the video, Joseph was holding a press conference. He announced in public that Raymond was the only heir of the Newtons and his only son..
Joseph didn’t look threatened at all. If anything, he sounded firm, almost eager to please Raymond.
Duncan clutched his head and screamed, “No… no… this can’t be real… impossible!!!”
The men in black ignored him. They got into their cars and drove away, leaving him behind.
Duncan tried again and again to return to the estate to get answers. But every time he reached the outskirts of Grandridge, he was caught and beaten half to death.
After that, he didn’t dare go back.
He could only stand far away and look at the place from a distance.
Joseph had blocked his number. Every time he got a new phone, it got blocked again.
He couldn’t reach Ursa or Jillian either.
After seeing the press conference, all his friends avoided him.

Duncan became like a stray nobody on the street. He had no real skills. Every day, he scraped by doing odd jobs, getting a little here, begging a little there.
The fall from heaven to hell was too much for him to bear. He tried to end his life more than once, but he was too afraid to go through with it.
In the end, he just kept living, barely, in a quiet villa in the outskirt.

Chapter 154from Heir to Outcast
Fleshe
After leaving the airport, Hillary was brought straight here by Eden. The house was filled with servants.
Aside from not being allowed to leave, her life was comfortable. Good food, good drinks, and people waiting on her hand and foot.
Hillary couldn’t figure it out. She had been here for days. Other than the staff, she hadn’t seen anyone. Her phone had been taken away too.
She thought Raymond would come after her. But instead, she was treated like this.
Did he even still care about her? After all, she was his savior and first love
Even if he kept her like this, it wasn’t so bad. The Newtons were rich. That was still better than relying on her real father back in Montara.
That day, Hillary was lying by the pool, enjoying the sun, when she heard movement at the front gate.
She sat up at once. A tall man was walking toward her. Behind him followed a group of respectful servants.
Hillary’s eyes lit up.
Raymond is here!
Then she felt a little guilty. But after thinking about it, if Raymond really blamed her, he wouldn’t have treated her this well, right?
As the man got closer, Hillary stood there, her eyes flickering with unease. She took a few steps back.
But she stepped too far. Her foot slipped at the edge of the pool, and she lost her balance.
“Arghh!”
In the next second, a strong arm caught her around the waist and pulled her into a warm embrace. A deep, gentle voice sounded by her ear. “Careful.”
Hillary’s eyes turned red at once. She clung to him tightly. “Raymond…”
Raymond said softly, “Are you okay?”
“My… my ankle… I twisted it…”
He helped her sit down on a chair, then crouched in front of her and gently massaged her ankle.
Hillary was stunned. Am I dreaming?
