Raymond grabbed her hand. His voice shook with guilt. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry. I’ve done too many things to hurt you. I deserve it.”

Hillary snapped out of it and rushed to explain. “That’s not true! Raymond, you can’t believe Neal! Don’t you remember what he and Agnes did behind your back? They were together! They’re working together to drive us apart! Raymond, don’t fall for it again! Only I love you. Only me! I was the one who saved you! It was me! Me! My health is ruined because of you!”

Raymond looked at her as she lost control. Disgust showed on his face.

“I already had someone check you,” he said coldly. “You’re perfectly healthy. No heart condition. No lasting damage. Those ‘problems‘ came from the life you lived in Montara- partying and messing around.”

Hillary shook her head wildly. “No! That’s not true! I’m not sick! I’m clean! You said you would marry me! I’m your future wife! Raymond, you will never get rid of me! Not unless I die! Let go of me! Let go!”

Raymond’s voice dropped. “I have recordings. You and Harvey working together in illegal deals. You, Ursa, and Rebecca tricking Agnes into going to Velmara. And you bribed Lucy to lock Agnes in that freezer. Tell me what way out do you have left?”

Hillary’s voice broke. “I didn’t do it! You have no proof! Raymond, why won’t you believe me? I really love you. I loved you from the moment I saw you. Going to Montara… that was a mistake. I regretted it right away. I came back for you. But I never thought you’d get married so fast. I came back for you… I really did…” She burst into tears.

Raymond let out a cold laugh. “When my mother had that heart attack… that was because of you too, wasn’t it?”

Both Hillary and Agnes froze like they’d been struck by lightning.

Agnes stared at him in shock. Hillary stumbled back, her face pale.

Raymond’s eyes turned red. Veins stood out on his forehead. His fists clenched as he stepped closer, his voice icy.

Hillary’s face turned blue. Her eyes rolled back.

“Raymond! Stop! Let go! Don’t do this!” Agnes rushed over and grabbed his arm, shouting for the bodyguards.

It took several men to pry his hand loose.

Hillary collapsed to the floor, clutching her throat, coughing violently. She trembled all over. Just now, he had really tried to kill her.

Agnes stepped forward, her voice cold as ice. “You and Harvey killed Judy?”
