Chapter 22 Coincidence
Every time one of her works appeared, wealthy collectors rushed to compete for it. To the rich and powerful, owning her art was a symbol of both wealth and taste.
Back then. Raymond had seen Agnes standing in front of that sheath dress for a long time. He thought she liked it, so he kept it in mind.
Agnes gently touched the lifelike lily embroidered on the dress. It was Daisy’s work, “Luminous Lily.”
“Mom, what flower are you stitching?” little Agnes once asked.
Daisy gently patted Agnes on the head and smiled.
“This is a lily,” she said softly. “A luminous lily.
“One day, you should shine just like this flower.
“Be open–hearted. Be brave enough to chase your dreams. And most of all, live happily every day.”

At the time, little Agnes only understood one thing–her mom wanted her to be happy every day.
Agnes loved lying beside Daisy and watching her embroider.
Every stitch and every thread carried Daisy’s gentle and careful feelings.
Back then, Daisy had sold this embroidery to gather money for Agnes’s college tuition.
But on the way home, she got into a car accident.
By the time Agnes rushed to the hospital, Daisy was already close to death.
Using the last of her strength, Daisy told Agnes that there was an embroidered handkerchief hidden in a compartment under her bedside cabinet.
She asked Agnes to find it and give it to Judy. It would save her life.
Agnes cried and tried to ask what had happened.
But Daisy was too weak to speak anymore. Tears slid down her face as she tightly held Agnes’s hand. Not long after, she passed away.
The more Agnes thought about it, the sadder she felt. Tears slowly ran down her face.
When Raymond saw her crying, he thought she had been moved by his gift. He pulled her into his arms.
“Silly girl. If you like it, I’ll buy it for you. Don’t be mad anymore. Let’s not get divorced.”
Agnes wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and pushed him away.
“I’ll accept the gift. Thank you. But we’re still getting divorced. Between the three of us, someone has to leave. I wish you both happiness.

After saying that. Agnes turned and walked away.
Raymond stood there shock. Agnes’s attitude had changed so fast.
Just a second ago, she had been crying because of his gift. That made Raymond think he could control her easily.
He quickly ran after her and blocked her path,
“Agnes, how long are you going to keep this up? My patience has limits! Come home with me.”
Agnes looked irritated. “Raymond, can’t you understand what I’m saying? Move.”
Raymond continued, “Where will you live if you leave me? How will you survive? Stop making trouble!”
Hearing that only made Agnes angrier. She stepped hard on Raymond’s foot with her stiletto heel.
“Ah!” Raymond bent over in pain. “Agnes! You!”

“Don’t block my way.”
Agnes flipped her long hair and walked away without looking back.
Raymond’s face twisted with pain and anger as he stared at her leaving figure.
Starting tomorrow, he planned to cancel all her credit cards. He would make it impossible for her to live comfortably.
Sooner or later, she would break down and come crying back to him.
After Agnes got home, she contacted Emily and confirmed the class schedule and teaching plan.
Early the next morning, she arrived at the address Emily had given her. A luxurious villa stood in front of
her.
Agnes had already seen how powerful the Newton family was. Looking at the location and design of this villa, she felt that this family was just as wealthy.
The butler led her inside, and she quietly waited in the living room.
A moment later, Emily walked downstairs holding a little boy’s hand.
Agnes quickly stood up. But when she met the boy’s eyes, both of them froze.
“Agnes!”
“Andrew?”
Andrew ran excitedly to her side and looked up at her. “Agues, why are you here? Are you my new Caelish
teacher?”
