Raymond could tell right away that her steps were a little shaky.

Raymond said, "Agnes, don't listen to Eden's nonsense. I... I was also invited here. I just came by... to take a look."

Even he didn't believe his excuse. He figured she wouldn't be easy to fool and would probably keep asking.

But Agnes only let out a soft "Oh" and said nothing more.

"Let us raise our glasses and witness this happy moment together!"

Neal stood there alone, watching Agnes and Raymond walk away.

His heart felt like it had been cut open, leaving only a thin layer of skin behind.
