One time, Kayden went to see Eleanor again, and Ursa happened to be nearby.
Eleanor had never wanted anything to do with Kayden to begin with. Seeing Ursa there only made her want to leave even more.
She turned to walk away, but Kayden grabbed her arm.
Seeing that, Ursa immediately got jealous and rushed over, grabbing Kayden.
And just like that, the three of them were tangled up in an awkward, ugly scene.
Kayden mistakenly thought Eleanor was rejecting him because of Ursa, so he was desperate to distance himself from Ursa as fast as he could.
He shoved Ursa away with so much force that she lost her footing and slammed onto the ground. Everything froze.
Right in front of Eleanor, Kayden snapped at Ursa, "I don't have any feelings for you. Stop acting like we have a thing and stop following me around like a stalker!"
Then, ignoring Eleanor's protests, he pulled her into his arms and declared to Ursa, "Look carefully, Ursa! The only person in my heart is Eleanor. She's the one I love. It will always be her!"
Eleanor struggled to push Kayden away, but he was as strong as an ox.
She kept trying to explain, "No, that's not it. It's not like that. There's nothing between Kayden and me. I'm not—"
Ursa lay on the ground, disheveled, tears streaming down her face.
Her eyes were red as she ignored Eleanor, her voice almost pleading, "Kayden, this is the first time I've ever loved a man. I've humbled myself for you, done everything to please you, but you..."
Ursa pointed angrily at Eleanor and shouted, "You rejected me for a trash like her?
"And you humiliated me for her?! I'm going to tell your dad!"
Kayden let out a sharp, mocking snort.
"Go ahead, tell him! Who do you think you are? So what if you're a rich girl?
"You're a spoiled, entitled brat with a total princess complex. What about you is supposed to be attractive to me?"
Then he lowered his gaze to Eleanor in his arms, his tone suddenly soft. "Eleanor, don't let her get to you. I love you for who you are, not anything else.
"There's nothing between Ursa and me. You saw it yourself. She's the one who won't leave me alone.
"Eleanor, give me a chance. I'll make you happy!"
Eleanor's face flushed bright red. She used all her strength to shove him away.
Smack!
A heavy slap landed across Kayden's face.
Eleanor's face turned red with anger.
"Listen to me, Kayden. Who you love or don't love has nothing to do with me!
