Chapter 78 The Secret He Shouldn’t Know

Howhow did Neal find out about that?

That one thing Ursa was most ashamed of. The thing she never wanted to remember for the rest of her life.

She thought she had hidden it well. So much tipe had passed. And yet, the man she loved most still found

Out.

Ursa tried to deny it. She tried to explain. But her eyes kept shifting, and her voice lost its strength. NealI don’t know what you’re talking about.

Neal gave a cold, mocking smile. You know exactly what I mean. if you try to cause trouble for Agnes again, don’t blame me for turning on you.”

Ursa’s face turned pale. Her breathing grew uneven. Neal, listen to me. It’s not what you heard. I didn’t do anything.

But the memories came rushing back, like a movie she couldn’t stop.

Before she met Neal, Ursa lived a wild life. She skipped school, wasted time, and spent her days partying with rich girls.

Every day was the sameeating, drinking, shopping, and hanging out with questionable friends.

After high school, her mother sent her to Montara, saying it was for overseas study. It was meant to polish her image and make her look like a successful heiress/that studied abroad.

But in truth, nothing changed. She just partied in a different place.

She met all kinds of men. None of them lasted.

There was a Demon bar. She used to go there often.

One night, she drank way too much. She lost control.

That night, she went out drinking with a group of friends. They drank until she completely blacked out.

When she woke up the next morning, she found herself lying naked on a couch in one of the bar’s private

rooms.

The place was a mess. The floor was covered with cigarette butts and empty bottles. Her clothes were torn and thrown all over the room.

Her head throbbed. Her whole body hurt. Bruises covered her skin.

Fragments of the night flashed through her mind. Blurry faces. Loud laughter. Chaos. How many people had there been? Ten? Twenty?

She couldn’t remember. All she knew was there had been a lot of them.

shaken, she hurried to get dressed. She looked around, but there was no one there. Then she rushed out of the bar as fast as she could.

After that night, she stayed away from Denton Bar for a long time. Even she felt it had gone too far.

She thought it was over. After all, this was Montara. No one here knew her.

But things didn’t end there. One day, she started to feel sick.

She had a high fever. Red rashes spread across her body. A lump appeared on her neck. Strange symptoms she couldn’t explain.

She was terrified. Montara was known for its wild nightlife. She had no idea if anyone that night had been careful.

Could she really be that unlucky?

She rushed to the hospital for tests. It wasn’t lifethreatening, but someone gave her Syphilis.

She spent a lot of money on treatment and eventually recovered. But the doctors told her the antibodies would stay in her system for life.

Ursa didn’t care. As long as she was cured, that was enough.

But then, not long after, something worse happened. She discovered that she might be pregnant.

Ursa didn’t dare tell anyone. If her mother found out, she would fly to Montara and tear her apart. After that, Ursa’s life would be ruined.

And in Montara, abortion was illegal. Back then, Ursa felt completely hopeless. She didn’t even know who the father was.

For a while, she thought she might not make it through. Then she met Hillary. With Hillary’s help, she found a private underground clinic and ended the pregnancy.

That was when their relationship grew closer. After returning to Grandridge, Ursa stayed by Hillary’s side and helped her go after Agnes.

That one reckless night had cost her a heavy price. And that secretonly Hillary knew.

So how did Neal find out?

He wasn’t close to Hillary. And Hillary wanted to marry Raymond.
