Chapter 329
At the hospital, Russell had already stabilized the conditions of Zachary, Maria, and Charles
He handed the medical records to Nina. Ms. Swanson, the poison in their bodies is even more severe than Scarler’s. Samuel has modified several types of poison.”
The ancient book from the Jefferson family just happened to have the antidote for Scarlet’s poison.
After reading the records, Nina said to Ryan, “Keep an eye on things here. I’ll handle the acupuncture
Ryan agreed.
Nina checked everyone over. Zachary was in the worst shape, so she started with him
This acupuncture could only block the poison from spreading through their bodies.
With the detox pills she’d made, she could keep things stable for a while, but it wouldn’t last forever.
To truly cure them, she’d have to discover the real antidote.
Nina had to admit that Samuel was a genius in medicine, especially when it came to poisons.
Samuel was going after everyone close to her. If she saved one, someone else would get hurt.
He just wanted to keep her busy.
The acupuncture technique Nina used was seriously advanced. It took her a grueling seven hours to work on all of them.
When Nina finally stepped out of the room, Ryan hurried over. “Nina, how are you holding up?”
Nina shook her head. “I’m good. Now that I can control the aura in my body, drawing it in doesn’t hurt me anymore.”
Back when she hadn’t mastered this aura, every acupuncture session would leave her completely drained, and she’d have to rest for ages before bouncing back. But at that moment, she barely felt a thing.
Ryan looked relieved. “Wylder just called. He wants us to come over.”
Nina’s face darkened. “No way.”
‘Does he really think I have nothing better to do?” she thought.
If she weren’t so busy trying to find an antidote for Scarlet and the Foster family, she’d totally send Simon to give Wylder a hard time.
Ryan chuckled. “Alright, we won’t go.”
I’m going to check in with Vincent. You stay here and look after Zachary and Maria,” Nina said.
Ryan hesitated, wanting to tag along, but then thought to himself, ‘If I go. Vincent’s definitely going to blow a fuse. Might as well just stay out of it.
Sophia showed up right after she got the message that Nina had left.
She’d been busy with her department’s math competition these past few days.
Chapter 329
As soon as she arrived, she called out, “Grandpa, Grandma, Morn, thad, are you day
Maria looked startled. “Why are you here?”
Ryan had made sure Sophia and Saul didn’t know about the prisoning,
Sophia had been busy getting ready for her math competition.
Saul was deep into a research project, and Ryan didn’t want them to get distracted
Sophia said, tears streaming down her face, “I went home to pick up some materials, hot nobody were 1 Lo and she just kept beating around the bush.
“I could tell something was up. I begged her forever before she finally told me. How could you all keep something to g from us?”
Grace flicked her on the forehead. “Come on, we’re fine, aren’t we? Why are you making such a fuss
Sophia wiped her tears away, sniffling. “Seriously, what happened? How did you all get poisoned just like tha
Grace snapped, “What do you think happened? It was Romy. She went and teamed up with outsiders, totally betraying an
Zachary and Maria knew the moment Romy suddenly showed up that she was definitely up to no good.
Anyone with half a brain would’ve thought the coffee was spiked when she started serving it out of nowhere
But nobody expected the real poison wasn’t in the coffee. It was the cups themselves that were laced with it. Romy had stashed the poison beneath her fingernails. The coffee she handed Zachary was clean, but as she poured, ste secretly coated the cups with the toxin.
Zachary’s coffee set was a luxury piece. He’d spent a small fortune on it, and the coffee it made was absolutely top–notch
Zachary and Maria loved that coffee. Grace and Charles were hooked, too, and Ryan would always grab a cup or two whenever he came over.
Grace and Charles had just walked in as Romy was heading out.
Nina and Ryan’s wedding plans were pretty much set, and since Nina’s sister was back, Grace thought it was the perfect time to ask Zachary and Maria if they wanted to set a date for the big day.
Whenever they sat down to talk things over, coffee was always on the table. But as soon as the four of them took a sp. they all went down at once.
Just thinking about it made Grace furious. ‘Damn, that was dirty!‘ she fumed.
They’d done everything to keep things safe, even screened all the household staff before finally relaxing But they never expected Romy to be so sneaky and poison the cups themselves.
From the moment the poison hit to when she finally came to, it was just a few hours, but it felt like she’d been dragged through hell. It was pure agony.
“Romy is way out of line,” Sophia snapped. “Ryan, you need to call the cops and have her arrested right
Ryan shot her a look. “Stay out of it. This isn’t your problem

Sophia was left speechless.
But then she remembered Ryan was the type to hold a grudge and always get revenge.
Romy had poisoned Zachary, Maria, Grace, and Charles. There was no way Ryan would let her get away with it.
If he hadn’t dealt with Romy yet, he definitely had something else up his sleeve.
‘Better not ask,‘ Sophia thought to herself.
Ryan was still mad at her for how she’d acted toward Nina before. If she kept poking, he’d just blow up again
The atmosphere was a little tense, so Maria spoke up, “Alright, we’re all fine now. You all should get back to what do.”

Then she looked at Ryan and said, “And you, don’t always rush over here whenever something comes up. Make sure you spend more time with Nina.
“I heard her foster sister is back and not doing well. Be there for her, and if you need anything, just let us know.”
Grace added, “And didn’t Nina say she wanted to wait until her foster sister was back before having the wedding? Maybe you can talk to her about setting a date for the wedding once her sister’s feeling better?”
Even though Nina and Ryan already have their marriage license and she was officially part of the family, the wedding was really up to them.
But even though they’d gotten their marriage license ages ago, they still hadn’t held the wedding.
Naturally, people started gossiping, saying the Foster family didn’t really approve of Nina, and that was why they kept delaying the ceremony.
The family didn’t care what others said, but they just didn’t want Nina to feel wronged or hurt by it all.
Ryan was quiet for a moment before saying, “Let’s wait a bit longer for the wedding.”
