When Martha informed us that Grandfather was coming to dinner, we had smiled at each other. Dad was going to introduce him to Aspen and Hunter and he would also find out that Gabe and Brent were mates.

Dad actually invited all the High–ranking Lycans for dinner and that means that after tonight every female will know that Dad is taken. Slade growls in my head as we both know that this will mean that more females will target me and my Brothers.

I have to make sure that I get Grandfather alone at some point, because I need to tell someone that Hunter is my Mate and I know that Grandfather will keep it to himself. He will also be able to tell me how to handle this situation.

Slade is still dwelling on the way it felt to hold her hand, how natural it had felt to have her head on our lap. We both had been surprised that a certain body part behaved itself, but than again the words she spoke probably contributed to that.

Jason and I are in our wing’s living–room waiting for Jayce and Jax, when Grandfather walks in and I quickly link Dad to let him know we have company. “Thanks, Justin. Aspen and I will be there shortly.”

For once, Grandfather doesn’t have a sad look on his face and I wonder if he forgot to visit Mom’s grave. somewhere in May, but We never touch the grave and only visit it on our birthdays. Dad visits her grave he never explained why that is and we never ask.

“What is it with all the High–ranks downstairs?” Grandfather asks and Jason and I just shrug our shoulders. We have no intention of raining on Dad’s parade, it is his task to tell Grandfather and we all know that he is going to be happy for Dad.

“I hope Dad and Aspen get here before Hunter does. Try explaining that one to the old man.” I say to Jason and he bursts out in laughter, Jax saves him from having to explain himself to Gother.

“Hey, Pops. I see you still know your way to the Palace.” Jax says teasingly and Grandfather swats him on the back of his head as he says, “Watch it, Pup. I can still kick your ass.” We all laugh as Jax is rubbing his head.

Daniel’s P.O.V,

“Aspen, Baby. There is something I need to talk to you about, no need to stress out.” I say before I sit down on the bed. She walks over to me and tells me that after finding out her Mate is the King, there is not much

that can stress her out.

“We will have dinner in the main dining–hall with all the High–ranking Lycans from the Palace and the Pack.” I say and she tells me that she understands why I did and that that won’t stress her out.

“Yeah, well I think there might be one person I invited that could cause that.” I mumble and she just looks at me with one eyebrow raised. “I also invited Sarah’s Father.” I keep my eyes on my hands, because I don’t know how she will react.

reason for me to stress out over meeting him. I think Benjamin will actually be happy for you and I hope that the two of us can become friends.

Tears roll down my cheeks as I realize that she and Sarah would have been best friends if they had ever met. “Aspen, I love you. My Sons will learn to love you and Benjamin will love you as his own.

I think this family is finally whole again after all these years.” She wipes the tears from my face and she slips her arms around my neck as our lips touch. Right at that moment Justin links me that Dad has arrived.

“Benjamin is here. Lets get this over with, before we have to go downstairs and introduce you to everyone.” I hold her in my arms as I get up and she giggles the moment her feet no longer touch the ground.
